Credit to Houston, they're not a pretty team to watch, but I don't think anyone cares to play this defence.

Agreed, Houston may have one of the toughest Ds in the league. Seems every hit is a tooth rattler. Their offence is pretty vanilla though.

yeah, that defense is legit. Will be interesting how far that can take thm, because the offense around Stroud is nothing special at all. But credit to Ryans, they started at 0-3 after all. Probably won't win CotY against the Vrabels, Johnsons, Macdonalds and Coens of this season, but still a nice turnaround.
And add me to the list of those who are happy to see the Chiefs implode.

So happy we don't have to hear the media slobbering about Mahomes and Reid in the playoffs this year.
Their offseason will be interesting. I'm sure this isn't the way Reid wanted to go out but there's an expiry date on all coaches and it seems like he's not been able to scheme up on offense like years past and maybe Mahomes has hit that stage of his career where his skills can't overcome dad bod off seasons and no longer has the Kelce security blanket. Reid will come back and I'm sure they could get back into the playoffs next season but it's really nice at least for one year not to have to see that team, and those fans in the playoffs.

Classy coming from a fan of a team that let Jim Gray manipulate his way into ownership influence through Tom Brady. Mark Davis is what 25x his actual worth in loans to pay all the coaches no longer working for him?
I get why people want to see the Chiefs miss out and some new teams in the mix. In a way it's good for the sport to keep these runs of dominance a bit shorter and turn over the contenders. It's why I've lost a lot of interest in the NHL.
That said when I said KC would miss at the start of the year and Denver would win the Division...I was more right than you. Never change my dear adversary, never change.

Mark Davis is a terrible football mind but he's actually a very player friendly owner and one of the more harmless owners in the NFL. The product has been terrible but there's not a lot bad you can say about the organization. They ranked 4th on the latest NFLPA report card, the fans are harmless in Vegas as they are usually drowned out by visiting fans, they quickly cut players that get in trouble with the law. They just lose a lot, but Mark has tried. He brought Gruden back (it was always destined to fail) as in his mind he actually thought it would work. He tried the Patriot way and it bombed. He tried to give Pierce a chance and it bombed. He thought Carroll would add some stability to the organization and it bombed. He's tried a lot of different approaches even if they continue to fail. The hope was Brady help would stabilize that but so far, not even the GOAT is immune to the Raiders stink.

AFC West showdown right here on CP!!
And i have to agree with Syl in that no Raider fan should be throwing shade at anyone else about "unsavory characters" on their squad.
I think most non Chief fans are happy to see them slide. It was getting like the previous iterations of the Patriots.
I understand the Texans offense looked ordinary last night but thats all they need when there is a defense like that on the other side of the ball. I can see them doing some serious damage moving forward.

Stefanski could be fired in Cleveland soon, or deserves to be. Sanders has played well enough to present a dilemma. Go forward with Sanders and trade top pick for a big haul, or draft Mendoza?

Even Shedeur Sanders’ impressive 364-yard, four-touchdown performance couldn’t mask the organizational failure that was the Browns' 31-29 loss to the previously 1-11 Tennessee Titans. As the Orange and Brown Talk podcast crew dissected the defeat, a sobering reality emerged: this game might be remembered as the tipping point in Kevin Stefanski’s tenure as head coach.

I know I did not just see a Raider fan calling another fan base "white trash". Whatever happened to shame in our society, etc...

We all know Raiders fans, what I find way more interesting is the clear gambling related FG as time expired. A meaningless FG to cover the spread? Pete must owe someone in the desert a lot of money to be this transparent with score fixing

You can take the boy out of the trailer park, but you can't take the trailer park out of the boy and all of that. And they have no fans in Vegas so the vast majority of their fan base remains the classic Raiders fan base, Bay Area and LA degenerates. As to that sketch ending, fascinating stuff cause the Broncos passed on a 45 yard FG that would have got the over, but the Raiders come back and get the cover and the over on the FG at the gun. Looks like both sides got different instructions. So someone is getting their legs broken today.

Raiders have lost 8 games by double digits and I'm sure Pete was well aware of that. NFL coaches don't take point spread or gambling into their decision making and this was very likely just him trying to make the score closer even if meaningless.

As the old proverb goes "Take the points, beat the spread", or something like that.

You really think 74 year old Pete Carroll was manipulating the score for gambling reasons lol? I've seen first hand this season that he's got enough on his plate just trying (and failing) to put an NFL caliber product on the field, let alone be concerned about gambling implications.

Pete Rose, Pete Carroll, the connections are clear as day right there. Open and shut case I'd say ban him from the sport for life but that would help the Raiders

I wish Pete was banned prior to the beginning of 2025 when he was hired as Raiders head coach as it's clear that even spry old guys like him cannot escape father time. That said he and Geno have kind of delivered exactly the type of season that the Raiders needed. The organization hasn't drafted a QB in the first round since Russell so it's been long overdue that they take one even if it's not the greatest QB class.

74 is like peak degenerate gambling age, you got retirement money and nothing but time to kill. Who the #### else is going to the casino between 9am and 7pm? Although there are two other suspects getting a pass right now: the Broncos player who laid on top of the Raiders player to initiate the clock stopping penalty, and the ref who made the call. But like I said before the Broncos already passed on hitting the over, so who was in the grassy knoll directing them? I feel like we need Alex Jones and Infowars to get to the bottom of this.
