Do you guys think Suniev is still promising? I was hoping for a big year for him this year and looking grim.. How many years until he needs waivers?
No worries, he’s going to be just fine. For the last little while, the farm club has been bringing the youngsters up slowly and patiently. A few years ago, people wanted Stromgren tarred and feathered, now everyone wants him called up.

Yeah, I think we all saw Suniev's skill-level. I had him pegged as a bit of a one-trick pony with his high-end shot, but he is much more than that. Yeah, this is one of the 3 or 4 prospects in the organization that I wouldn't dream of betting against. High-end skill with good size. He will figure it out, and he will also start earning more opportunity as well.

Completely agree with the comment about Sutter easing the rookies in. It was quite frustrating to watch over the first 20 games but you can see Suniev, Basha and Carter starting to take more prominent roles now. Lots of veteran forwards on the team and a rookie coach so none of it is surprising. Let's see how the second two thirds of the season goes before making judgement on any of these guys.

Three Stars:
1) Owen Say, stopping 44 shots for the shutout.
2) Alex Gallant, no points but a rematch against Kaden Hammell.
3) Aydar Suniev, with one goal.
I'm pretty sure this is the guy who knocked him out last week? Then skated around him doing the whole "championship belt" thing over and over. Think it pissed him off lol
