They had their chance when the team was desd last at the quarter pole looking terrible. Could have tried to make a move then to lean into a rebuild with most of the rational people in the fanbase calling for it. Baloney comes out and says they won't do it. That's gone now and we are tracking towards another completely pointless season again where the core fanbase shrinks even more

I get from a fan perspective kind of blocking out the big picture for the instant gratification of a win that night. But I genuinely cant imagine what ownership is thinking. It truly seems like he doesn't care at all if the flames ever win another cup, it almost feels like hes someone who doesn't like the flames or care if they win a cup and wants them to be just good enough that he can still make money.
