Weird that there will be no plus 15 bridges over Macleod Trail to SP from the new hotels.
They aren't a great idea for an entertainment district. If you want a vibrant connection between 17th and Victoria park, I don't think it's a good idea:
Haha, the latest monthly construction video is up and you can actually see the pause in activity on the day CBSA shut the site down for the immigration check.
^ I certainly hope they have made provisions for flood protection and mitigation

I'm sure they completely forgot about the 2013 floods that trashed the dome and changed all the building permit requirements in the area for mitigating flood impact.

Flames went the Walmart model of having cheap prices and depend on volume sold. They apparently sell the most beer in the NHL and having the cheapest price per oz. I expect things to go up, but I think that model is working for them and they won't want to change that too drastically.
Just saying, if they made the rink half the standard dimensions, they could fit in a lot more club seats. Plus, it would help the building stand out from all the other arenas called Scotiabank This-That-and-the-Other.

Price gouging be damned, I'm still excited for this new $1B hunk of steel and concrete we get to call our own and all the first world privileges and prestige that will supposedly come with it.
Just stay under the Bobby Nich Burger prices, at the very least. It would make the jokes at their expense even better if we can remain more budget-friendly than Katz' palace of greed.
