Zayne is 100% on the team...him not being on the team last year got guys fired. Cameron snubbing two of the best players who were prospects for the two teams that fired him was a political move that blew up in his face in big time. Guy is also a year later and has played in the best league in the world now.

I would hope that Conroy talked to them ahead of time and got some kind of verbal, because yeah, that would be kind of embarrassing for Parekh if it's public that he was available and they didn't pick him. You never know. They didn't pick him last year and the only thing that has changed since then is his age.

And the entire Hockey Canada selection staff who chose not to include him in the first place.

Isn't Parekh still injured? I thought I read some online article that he might miss the world junior championship...

I'm surprised by the amount of fans who still question whether Team Canada wants Zayne Parekh at all

It's a tournament for 19 year olds and always has been.
A player that has made the NHL is a huge boon and an automatic inclusion to any world junior team.

It's all good, during last night's game Francis guaranteed Parekh would be on the team. He'd never lie or speculate.

I know its easy to say, but if I were Parekh and after being snubbed last year? I'd be telling Hockey Canada to pound sand.

He doesnt owe these people anything.

These guys are competitive though. His NHL start hasn't gone as hoped, and i have no doubt he wants go to go very badly not only to boost himself, but to show Hockey Canada how much they ####ed up last year.

Parekh is 100% on Team Canada if he wants to be there, and I'm certain he does.

It's nice to see the Liv name living on in Swedish hockey with Herman Liv.

His father, Stefan Liv, was a Polish born goalie that played in Sweden (4th round pick for the Red Wings). He was one of the players taken before his time in the Lokomotiv airline disaster. It would be a nice story to see his son have a great career.
