Tough to say without knowing where 4 of the 5 picks land honestly.

Or Vegas drops and/or wins the lottery.
Get TOs from Boston, ours and Vegas drops = 3 top ten picks. LOL
Why not? We are due some luck.

December 1st update from The Athletic's model that simulates the remainder of the season 50,000 times.
Median finish: tied for last with the Predators at 72 points, with the Flames very slightly favoured to win tie-breaker in those scenarios and finish 31st for draft purposes. Sharks at 74, Kraken 78, Blackhawks 80 FWIW.
Pick first: 12% of simulated seasons
Pick top five: 66% of simulated seasons
Pick top ten: 90% of simulated seasons
Make playoffs: 3% of simulated seasons

For TB's affiliate, not Philly's (who cut him loose with no QO).
Essentially Philly got Shane Vansaghi and a 3rd and 7th in 2027 for Frost and Farabee.

Any idea on what '++' is for the current asking price Conroy has set? (Young player, later round picks etc.)

2 picks in the top 10? Yes please.

Speaking of TB, what are they doing with Connor Geekie? He would be nice to pry out of there.

Do you know if there have been offers of at least a 1st for these two players?

18 points in 16 games (25 PIM) for Syracuse of the AHL. He's an absolute beauty.

Considering that we already have 2, and the relative dearth of Center's in the 1st round this year, I'd be more than ok with if 1 or 2 of those was deferred to the next year (or maybe even following)...especially if they are from teams who have potential to fall off.

Nobody is trading a top 10 pick for any of our players. Why would a team that’s heading to a bottom 10 finish trade for any of them. It just makes no sense.

Which out of the playoffs teams that would be interested in bolstering their lineups have 1st round picks in the top 15?
Seems nonsensical.
The teams trading for these guys are going to be offering late 1st round, lottery protected 1sts at best to upgrade their teams for this year and playoffs.
None of teams that currently have a high first rounder are paying for rentals or older players to bolster their non-playoff rosters.

I think as long as we're picking in the top 4 we cant rest easy that we're a solid shot at a game breaker.
I would be very happy to come away with any of McKenna, Verhoeff, Stenberg or Lawrence.

Which is why you really hope for a bottom 2 finish, you lock in a top 4 pick

I think the idea is moreso if you're heading into the draft with 3-4 1st round picks, some team in the top 10 will probably be willing to slide a bit back in order to get an extra 1st.

Exactly where I've landed.
I spent more time watching Tynan Lawrence content in the last week or so, and yeah...Top-4 pick and I'd be happy. Obviously still have oodles of love for McKenna and he'd be the one I want, but any of those top-4 has me overflowing with joy.

EKLUND warning!!!!!!
https://www.hockeybuzz.com/2025/12/0...e-kadri-flames
Just an absolute terrible article about Kadri to the Leafs. Littered with errors and over hyping of Leafs players. I want nothing do with it and luckily it is all fan fiction anyway

Usually the '++' means roster player and prospect. So, 1st, a player, and a prospect. But, I might be wrong with that interpretation of ++.
