Great finish, but gotta be the dumbest goal of the season.

Tottenham is a complete mess and I just think Frank has lost the room. I don’t know how you play a half like that and don’t come out flying for the second half.

There is an Aussie free agent coach available immediately. A Europa League winner, even.

I’ve seen some supporters point out that despite the disastrous league last year, we were in a better position at this point under Big Ange. To me this season feels a lot like last year, but without the Europa League run to save it.

Yeah Levy/management surely having second thoughts. Ange didn't get to use Simmons and the other new signings. Having said that, I'm not sure he'd be doing much better.

I think it's kind of like Liverpool in that they have a lot of pieces but haven't figured out how to use them at all.
A 4-2-2-2 again yesterday with very little strength in midfield and no real width... and it showed right away in that match
Too many attacking options in the lineup and not enough actual strength in the form of box to box midfielders

Yeah, the setup was wrong and in some spots we are lacking to be fair. I am still disappointed with what we got in Bissouma, because I thought we were getting the “Brighton Bissouma” who looked incredible. That just never materialized.
But the problem is, the players look disinterested. The first half was abysmal, and that goes without saying. But you’re down 2-0 in a game that is basically a must win after the past couple weeks, and you would expect them to come out flying in the second half. It doesn’t happen though. They had a few moments, but it wasn’t great. The goal we scored was a nice ball from Bergvall and Kudus smashed it, but it was basically a goal out of nothing. Fine, maybe that inspires the players and we get rolling.
So what does Frank do? Triple substitution. The goal was out first shot on target, at the 60 minute mark, and we got one more. In other words we’re down 2-0, and the huge response you might anticipate resulted in two shots on target. Yes, we had a million crosses that were nowhere near guys, but the offence is just sputtering. Sometimes I think we should bring Ange back to run the offence and have Frank run the defence, but then again we’ve allowed 11 goals in the past week!
Anyway…I don’t know how many people here want to read about my thoughts on Spurs, so I’ll leave it at that. It’s going to be a long season.

I believe in the Jays.

Awfully suspicious looking red card for Paqueta there. He was practically begging to get sent off

In fairness, the referee booked the wrong player originally. Should be overturned on appeal.

He was booked twice for dissent, I don’t think the foul itself was given a yellow

If that's the case, then yes, brutal decision to keep arguing with the ref.

Caicedo trying to use the fake injury card to avoid the red there is hilarious.

Horrible half of a football, great half of WWE though, better than Survivor Series last night.

Boring match. Arsenal were flat from the beginning, fortunate to go up a man.
Probably a good point in the long run, Chelsea were the better team and didn't' gain ground in the table.

Without the red, I think Chelsea wins it. Arsenal looked timid, which could make sense since we were playing away to 2nd Place with both starting centre backs out. That was the most nervous I have been in quite some time. Chelsea didn't really look like they were desperately hanging on, Arsenal made it fairly easy for them.

it's not really weird, given the previous allegations against him. It's either a) there was a lot of money on him getting sent off, or b) he's just dense and couldn't control himself. Well, "he's just dense" is probably true either way.

I dont know about any previous allegations, but he just talked himself into a sending off...and they were only down 1-0 at that point, the game wasn't entirely out of reach, if I were one of his teammates I'd have been pissed!
Maybe even give him a slap!
