Based on what has been said about Kadri’s trade value the expectations are pretty high for the return

Utah is currently playing DeSimone on their top pair. Ras would be perfect for them

I'll be sad to see him go, but it's shrewd asset management to trade him if the offers are that good.

Turning a FA signing (who lots of us thought we signed for too much) into multiple high-probability assets in a lost season would be a good bit of business.

If the offers are good, it would be mismanagement not to trade him. Just think of the potential team we could have if we do this right:

-Trade Kadri for a 1st + +
-Trade Andersson for a 1st
-Trade Coleman for a 1st

Now you have added THREE more firsts to the excess of picks we already have. Finish bottom 3 this year and draft an elite franchise gamechanger. Finish bottom 5 next year and draft another elite talent.

Now you are looking at Wolf as the goalie core, you are set in net.

On defense you have Parekh, Brzu, Kuznetsov, Mews, Morin all with potential. You have another younger player in Bahl locked up, and Weeegar is the vet locked in as 1st pairing D.

At forward you have Coronato, Reschny, Potter, Gridin, Battaglia, Honzek. Plus a game changer or two with the top 5 picks over the next couple of years. Huberdeau will be the vet leadership at forward.

Then you also have all these additional high picks that you hope you can hit on with a few players. I'm not saying all these players above will become staples in the NHL, but you hope that alot of them can along with some of the extra picks.

You could be looking at having a good team again within 3 years that could actually compete depending on if you are successful in drafting and developing the players. This isn't going to be a decade of rebuilding if you do this right.

Iggy Jr or PFO

They traded Doan Jr so anything is possible.

Who says no (if Utah is not on any NT lists):

To Utah:
Andersson + Coleman (50% retained) + Posposil + Morin

To Calgary:
Tij Iginla + 2026 1st (top 10 protected)

Given the rough rides some of our young players have been getting I wonder what it would take to pry the Xhekaj boys out of MTL? (No not Kadri directly calm down.)

Utah swiftly and easily.

We can’t be expecting to get the first draft pick Utah made for a collection of vets

Too much from Calgary and too many roster players for Utah absorb at once.

I think that in a couple of years, these guys calm down and turn into sort of Gudbranson type players, but right now they are a little Rempe-ish. I also think the Habs value their presence for the same reason we would.

I'd take out all of the extra pieces, and just do Anderson + Morin + 2nd fir Iginla. I think there is zero chance Utah moves that player, though.

Unleashing them on the Oilers and Canucks would be worth a giggle.

Utah. I think they're not too interested in trading away their first ever pick.

The one guy that's looked really bad this year is Weegar. But I do believe be a good market for him. If flames are looking to bottom out for next 2-3 years. Might as well trade him too.
