Any black friday deals or monitors that you really like?
I don't know anything about studio monitors and I don't know what price point you're looking at. If I were trying to maximize my budget, I'd probably be looking at hopping over to a brick and mortar store, something like a Long and McQuade, and trying to see if I could ask them to squeeze the price a tiny bit further on a display model, clearance or used studio monitor. Maybe even ask for a performance warranty thrown in or cables/accessories for cheap if they don't have a great black Friday discount on it?

For audio equipment, I've started always looking at great used/open box options to get the best tier of equipment possible for my budget.

The Kanto ORA4 is $150 right now. I'll always recommend them first because they're Canadian.

In the everyday person budget, Kali Audio is the easiest choice

In the high end, Genelec is supreme IMO

Sweet, thanks. I didn't end up getting anything. Realised I don't really need monitors I just need some speakers for my piano.. but I use headphones half the time anyway lol.

This isn’t going to be in the league of things posted here, but a couple months ago I spoiled myself and got avintage JVC R-S11 receiver. Made in Japan. It’s ####ing amazing. I’ve wanted something like this since I was a little kid.i also upgraded my speakers so my records are sounding insane compared to what I had.

Not my photo, but it’s the exact same:

Our new couch arrives in January most likely, and I'm looking into how to finish the living room setup... anyone have any experience with tactile transducers / bass shakers instead of subwoofers? My front Sttaf floorstanders will handle the low range without pissing off the people who live below us.
