Interesting brainstorming sessions then.
“I want to build what amounts to a dungeon in my basement ASAP, anybody have a contractor who’ll do this for me??”
People bring up various codes and safety concerns about this project.
“f all of you, I just asked for some contractors”.

What a man does with his Basement Dungeon is nobody's business but his own!!
Now...it puts the Lotion on it's skin!!

Look, I get that a sometimes you need a hastily built dungeon and all of the stress that must come along with that, but you can still do it with a safety-first mindset.
Why Mike Holmes or This Old House never dedicated a segment is mind-bottling.

Thats what the Non-Disclosure Agreement is for!
"No one was here in the basement. No...I dont know why the Basement door only locks from the outside....must be a contractor thing..."

Had some cluck and cleaver for dinner. Turns out he’s a really good kid. I’m happy to have him, now how do I gas him or put him in harms way?

First, you feed him cluck and cleaver. The gas will take care of itself.

Is he still in the unfinished basement? Maybe use some sound and light blocking curtains temporarily? Not clear curtains unless you actually want to go all Patrick Bateman.
https://www.amazon.ca/Hiasan-Sound-B..._source=1&th=1
Mount with curtain rods or mug hooks into the floor joists?
Add a cheap 12'x12' or 14'x14' carpet if it's bare concrete and maybe a pop up closet?
Rent or not, if someone is sleeping in the basement for an extended period of time, you should start looking into radon detection and basement egress windows if the basement is not a walk out basement.

Definitely look into this if you want to gas him. If your test numbers come back high you're good to go. Also the great thing is the effects are super long term so by that point you won't even be a suspect.

On that note, might be a good idea to throw some asbestos around to really round it out.

It’s a finished basement. Room with huge window, carbon monoxide detector and everything as was there previously. Got a couch and big TV, Bathroom and fridge. It’s awesome. Just wanted something so my kid didn’t have to move back upstairs. He gladly gave up his room due to the fotze family having bad character.

What happens if you put something like a capsule pod in the basement for him? Seem like it's be pretty cool.

What kind of dough to billet families make? Assuming this kid is playing major junior, CSEC own the Hitmen and have mountains of money,

CSEC may have mountains of money, but that's because they take it from taxpayers and don't give it away to plebs.

Billet families generally get enough to cover living expenses, like food, for the player, its not paying rent. This was Jr A, not major junior.

That stuff is hard to find, meanwhile the radon poisoning from stowing this kid in the basement is sure to do some real damage.
