Never said they were. Rage has, what, 4 albums? That’s longevity? 25 years since their last.

Sorry confused you with the OP. I mean with more longevity Rage might be in the conversation for best rock band. As you noted, they weren't around that long and haven't done much since. They have music that will live forever though. I don't know if you could say that about Audioslave.

Do RATM have more than two songs?

Edit: I remembered a third.

They have at least 10 fairly big songs:

Killing in the Name
Bulls on Parade
People of the Sun
No Shelter
Guerilla Radio
Sleep Now in the Fire
Testify
Renegades of Funk
How I Could Just Kill a Man
Wake Up

All of these songs, I can hear Zach de la Rocha screaming the titles of when I read them.

IMO they likely would have attempted to record a new one in the 2020s, if things hadn't been derailed by COVID and an injury. Then again, it sounds like these guys really just can't stand each other. They also don't really seem to care about money/fame, and are very content with what they have. They chose to walk away from a reunion tour that was killing it.

U2 being such a massive global band and didn't even make anyone's list.

But Black-Eyed Peas did lol.

Nah, QOTSA were more about guest members who would come from their own bands, but only play on one album or a handful of songs.

Agreed.
I'm not a huge fan or anything, but when I hear "rock band"; I think prowess in each part, ass kicking songs that can fill a stadium, and a level of no F's given cool.
Zeppelin is the band that fits best for me.

I think you made some of those up. Renegades of Funk? Nah, that can't be real.

Hard to miss that one seeing as it was popping’, sockin’, rockin’ with a side of hip-hop.

It’s a cover song by Afrika Bambaataa.

Black-Eyed Peas were actually pretty decent in their pre-Fergie time. Like a completely different group. If they had kept their old sound, they probably wouldn't have cashed in, but they would probably be respected as unique and innovative. Can't blame them for wanting that sweet crinkle though.

My guess would be Crosby Stills Nash and Young or ELP would be the most influential supergroups, you could maybe argue Cream but really only Clapton was 'super' out of them, Dereck and the Dominoes for sure, Fleetwood Mac was kind of a supergroup in the Christine McVie and Buckingham and Nicks were all established performers when they joined up, whether you need the 'stars' to join at the beginning of a group or can have them drop in later is a debatable point I guess
