I can't bring myself to not enjoy a win like that.

Really like the Farabee-Kadri-Sharangovich line, they work quite well together

There is a huge difference between accepting the team is bad and embracing it for the long-term good, versus actively cheering against the team. Being upset that team is suddenly playing good? This is not the worst timeline.

They've won three straight and are still in 31st with games against Tampa, Florida, and Carolina up next

I do understand that. At the same time, these have not been fluke wins. We have been dominating our opponents.

The Flames are playing better lately and could easily win the next 3 as well.

Even the Sharks had two 3 game winning streaks last season and won 5 in 7 at one point.

This three game winning streak doesn't tell us anything yet but it's nice to have a break from loss after loss.

While I cannot bring myself to cheer for the Flames to lose, I can certainly cheer for Nashville, St. Louis, Vancouver, Buffalo, Toronto, NYR, Florida, Winnipeg, Washington, Chicago, Philadelphia, and Pittsburgh to win.
It is not difficult to cheer for and enjoy Flames wins while simultaneously hoping that they draft in the Top 5 for the next two drafts.

But the Sharks know how to tank. I don't know if the Flames have it in them to keep losing, but we will see.

Thank god we’re not the Canucks. Woof. Maybe they could use Maloney over there to navigate their rebiggle.

Was at the game. Bahl is a beast. Canucks fans already defeated for the year.

"Know how to tank" lol

Like any team the Sharks players would have preferred to win more last year but they were just a bad team. If the Flames are truly as bad as people think they are they will lose alot too no matter how much they don't want to.

Happy for the guys. Seem to be getting some confidence and chemistry back.

Yeah it kind of sucks that Maloney has divided the fans so badly and I get why some (including my own kids) are fully on team tank.

I still enjoy the wins while appreciating the losses.

Not much else we can do, as fans.

not sure why you quoted me...people are talking like Tampa and Florida are unbeatable or something when they are mid teams right now its just the reality. Oilers took 5 of 6 points agains those same 3 teams and they suck balls.

I assume "know how to tank" meant they willingly sold off whatever they could for the highest picks they could, taking on post-rpime players with fat contracts to make that work, which allowed them to ice a team that they knew wasn't going to win games.

Result: lots of extra picks, plus a couple of top-three picks = brand new shiney core to build around. I think they still wind up drafting in the 10-13 spot this season, and then I suspect it'll be time to make a coaching change and start playing for wins again.

Flames have traded more vets than the Sharks every did...heck they were signing them last offseason unlike the Flames. Imagine how last they could have been without TT.

When I say know how to tank trading assets is part of it. But the other thing is the effort the team brings to each game.

You saw when we played the Sharks how they just did not show up at all for that game. Played most of the game with a half effort and were just kind of off their game.

When I watch the Flames, it looks like they are going all out every night and committed to team defense and the effort level is very high. Which is a good thing obviously for team culture etc. It just isn't ideal for a tanking team, you want a team who isn't playing every night like their playoff lives depend on it after they fall out of the race.

And before I get grilled for this, I watched a lot of Sharks games the last few years. They did not give the same effort that this Flames group does on most nights. One night they would compete and the next night they would take the game off. Which is what I mean by tank lol.

Such a fun game to watch live! The arena is pretty nice! Lots of flames fans out for the game. Fun sports weekend out here, seeing Whitecaps and flames wins live back to back.

Boys looked good. Canucks looked bad.

Was fun to see Kane get the unsportsmanlike conduct. Already lost his new team luster.

Sharangovich has looked decent the last few games.

Having a bad game isn't always about effort. Some nights you just don't have it no matter how hard you try. Even the best teams in the league look like ass some nights.

As far as the Sharks looking like they were trying one game and not the other that's what happens with bad teams. They can't consistently play at the same level because they're not a good team. Not because they just decide they're going to half-ass it every other game.
