What are you guys doing on these ride share trips? Hello, confirm the destination, small talk if the driver wants, decent tip. That's it that's the whole interaction. Arguing about road beers? Playing backseat navigator? Sit down, shut up, problem solved.

Is that a hot take? I assumed everyone just knew that, but looked beyond it for their their other supposed talents. Wait, people enjoy the sound of that? Like a wraith with a ghost pepper stuck in his throat?

'Tis a silly law! If you're being driven around by Cab/Uber whats the harm in some road beers? You're not driving or anything.

How are you able to see your rating break down on the ride shares? I press my rating but all it does is give me 3 paragraphs on what the definition of an average is.

It’s pretty convoluted to see but in the iPhone app it’s:
account -> privacy centre -> see summary -> explore data then scroll down to “view my ratings”.

Cool!
5 - 323
4 - 8
3 - 2
2 - 5
1 - 1
There's probably been the odd time I've forgotten to tip, I'm guessing where my fewer lower votes come from.

Does this apply to a limo? We have open booze all the time. I assume it is different but too lazy to look it up and I can't find my phone to call 911.

I think Limos have a different license, but I'm not 100% sure on that.

Has been covered before but calling customer service for any damn company has become so incredibly torturous.
You try to go through the online chat, useless waste of time. When you finally get someone on the phone after 30 mins they read through their script and ignore what you're asking. You ask a specific question and they start reading the script again. Not to mention how tough it is to communicate when the person on the other end has a strong accent and cell phones sound like #### with a slight delay.

I like to remind them that their job is easily replaceable by a computer in the near future and that for a half million dollars+ they can own a fleet of computers in vehicles to do the job instead.

Where their only job is to keep them charged, mechanical fit, and cleaned of fries, taco filing, mud on the dash, and vomit. All in a wonderful ecosystem just like Uber, except your boss is this guy:

Hah!
Now, as ever, IANAL (or cop) but my understanding is the amount of access available to the driver. Thus a taxi or Uber (etc) can't have open alcohol in it, but because the Limo has a partition, it's allowed, as long as the partition is up. I'm not sure how it'd apply to taxis (or Ubers) that have a driver shield/partition. That's lawyer fodder.

We should be following the shining example of Mississippi! Everyone in the car can have open alcohol and is allowed to drink, the only stipulation is that Driver, while allowed to drink and drive, cannot be over the legal intoxication limit of 0.08.
The Land of the Free!
Although in this case I think you're right, it probably has something to do with the partition.

Hey man, a guy throwing out a “I give my heart to you!” salute seems pretty awesome. It’s definitely not any other kind of salute. A local expert who is deeply familiar with the specific nuances and elements of style required to pull off different salutes that look eerily similar to this one told me so.

Celebrated Square Root Day

FOI forum is a definitely a different beast in terms of politics. I was the one going at it with JayRandom over that last night and it was him and others vs me alone, acting like I a left wing idiot for thinking that's a pointed, Nazi salute. I felt like I was taking crazy pills.
But then I remember back in the day when sports teams started to support the LGBTQ community, it was always fairly reasonable and supported in the off topic forum and then it would come up on the hockey FOI forum and it was "WHAT, THE GAYS WANT TO BE PART OF HOCKEY??? Get them out of here, we don't need POLIICAL CRAP associated with the great game of hockey. No politics!!!".
