Players are competitive…it’s in their genes and why they’re in the NHL. They do NOT generally want to tank (lose).

I never expected they would be bottom 3 this year. Maybe bottom 10, but there are too many guys on this team who give a #### and play hard to finish bottom 3. People should probably adjust their expectations a little. They won't be nearly as good as last year, but they are basically the same team that tied for the final playoff spot.
Now, if they decide to trade some key veterans, it will end up a bottom 3 finish. hard to say what they will actually do based on the media frenzy this last week.
