Rams are the best team in the league and Stafford should win MVP.

Todd Bowles is caca. Bucs will probably win the NFC South cause it's an abysmal division, but that sucks cause they'll probably keep Bowles despite him sucking.

As with the Flames I just embrace the tank even if I know deep down the Raiders will manage to pick the biggest bust in the top 5 of the draft.

Should Myles win MVP if he breaks sack record?
https://www.sportingnews.com/ca/nfl/...bc2d38fc0e4899
Quote:
Along with a historic sack season," Brugler notes, "Myles Garrett also ranks 2nd in the NFL with 9 TFLs (excluding sacks) and 3 FFs."
Garrett leads the NFL with 18 sacks through 12 weeks, and he only needs five sacks in his final six games to break the sack record. But he does a lot more than just sack the quarterback.
As Brugler mentions, Garrett generates tackles for loss in the run game. His nine tackles for loss on non-sacks are second in the NFL and are an impressive footnote on his season.
His three forced fumbles are tied for second most in the NFL, and further proof that Garrett isn't just generating lost yardage, he's generating turnovers.
If the Browns were winning more games, Garrett could've been generating MVP buzz based on how dominant he's been.

If Stafford hadn't clearly separated himself there might be a push to have a year like baseball where even a guy on a last place team wins (Trout, Ohtani etc..) because of how great he's been. But Stafford as the best player, on the best team, and he's a QB? Only question is will it be unanimous or not.

I think Stafford deserves it but Garrett has been phenomenal. It's a shame he's going to waste his career on the Browns.

While the idea of a defensive MVP is nice I'd say who cares if he breaks the sack record? Congrats but if it's the most valuable player how valuable were you on a last place team? The real question is if Brady 2.0 Drake the Snake Maye wins MVP over Stafford but that's all media manipulation anyhow

Not to be too disrespectful to Drake Brady, but the Pats MVP this year is their schedule. Stafford with 30 TDs and 2 INTs against a top five difficulty schedule, not really close.

Yeah defensive player of the year for Miles Garrett...sure. But if Stafford can lead the Rams to the 1 seed and not fall off his current pace he should win. I'd argue Jaxson Smith-Njigba had a better MVP claim than Garret if he breaks the receiving yards record on Seahawks team that is in the playoffs with 12 or 13 wins. They were projected to in 8.5 games at the start of the season.

Now if Garrett gets to something stupid like 30+ sacks then that might be too historically great to deny. But the fact they suck isn't his problem, if he was on a contender putting up these numbers he'd be getting a real push.

I don’t recall was there any push for TJ Watt MVP in '21 when he got 22.5 on a Steelers team that actually did make the playoffs? I don’t recall there being any.

I'd hardly say there's a push, just a Browns fan asking. No doubt we could find a TJ Watt article from 2021. But Bo Nix has nearly three times better odds of winning MVP than Garrett does, so maybe we should be asking how many firsts the Browns need to add to trade Garrett for Bo.

Back when JJ Watt had a lot of sacks and caught like 4 TD passes in like 2014 there was some talk about him being MVP. That's the last time I can remember people discussing a defensive player for MVP
