Most North American cities have a significant catholic population. NYC is unique to have such a large jewish population. I thought Montreal has a large jewish population, but it is 2% compared to 13% for NYC. Miami close to 9% (many probably relocated from NYC).

Sure, but that's all pretty irrelevant to a mayor's job. His job is to improve garbage collection and keep crime down and make sure the subway runs on time and that the school system functions. The whole system is f-ed up if a mayor is also supposed to be doing the job of an ambassador to a foreign nation.

New York City also has the most Muslims of any city in the states. Almost the same amount as Jewish… when does that come up as a big item?

Someone pointed out how MTG has been super MAGA for the last 5 years and really had no issues, but just one week of being the target of RW trolls and threats she had to hire extra security and then quit.

Chomsky, while wealthy compared to an average person, doesn't have the net worth of people who normally associated Epstein. That's the weirdest part for me (not that Chomsky would be expected to have a higher moral standard), but because Epstein was known for pushing aside low rollers, which in his world, Chomsky would have been.
