Hey, I just don't like Don Bologna Maloney. Just irks me hearing him speak regardless of the topic. But the topic is always hockey and that's the terrible part.

We're a cap floor team at 32nd in the NHL. If we were in 18-20th, maybe there would be a reason to worry but that is simply not the case.

I've been of this opinion all season, but I can understand why other fans are frustrated hearing these comments. That entire interview was not needed, lets just not put a microphone in front of Maloney please!

He said what you'd expect from anyone in upper management. It's just marketing/advertising. Some of you must get really mad at television commercials.

The only off-putting part of the interview for me was the fact that he kept looking straight into the camera.

The looking straight into the camera thing was definitely a tell that it wasn't an interview, but an "official statement" for the fans. Was it sincere? No obviously and I'd prefer a bit more honesty. The fact that your POHO is not allowed to use certain words publicly tells you a lot about the power dynamics within the organization.

lol those 3 know how to rile you guys up for the clicks...and you fall for it every time. Acting like this is a new take for barnburner, this has been their shtick for a couple years now. They also said the Oilers had the best D in the league all summer.

Flames have done nothing but get younger, trade pending ufas, and not spend cap for 2 and a half seasons...but they are totally all in for a few million in playoff revenue. Murray Edwards has nearly $4B he isn't make or break on a couple playoff games in the dome this year to keep food on the table.

What are you on about? I think the entire site wants Ras traded. Your post about him being only worth a 2nd and 3rd is what will age poorly. He is getting a 1st+. They could trade him for a 1st to half the league in about two minutes but they want MOAR

And I hate the Oilers as much as I like the Flames...maybe even more right now while we are so close to their window slamming shut

What is your point again? Ras is worth less because the Oilers beat them in the playoffs 3 years ago? Because that isn't accurate, like at all.

He is likely the #1 player on the market this season...you can keep saying he is worth a 2nd and 3rd but he is worth what someone will pay which IMO is a lot more.

I don't know why people are saying I am riled up. I was just saying some other people are riled up and Boomer was a surprise.

I do think it's a good thing for people to be vocal though. The more pressure people put on ownership to do the right thing the better.

If you're not worried about it that is fine. And Royle may very well be correct that we are going down the rebuilding path. But I don't think you should get upset at people who have legitimate concerns based on the message being sent out in the media.
