Well, if CC walks his post departure interviews will tell us volumes about the Flames. He kind of can’t help but spill the beans, that’s one of the things that makes him so endearing. Genuine guy.
Big mistake if they let him walk. Give him autonomy and let him cook.

Seriously, what is going on with this organization? I refuse to believe this experienced hive of hockey minds honestly believe this roster was a playoff team.
If they did, fire them all!
And if they're toeing the line by saying they believe in playoffs but behind closed doors they speak of rebuilding, then what is the point of that?
This bizarre detachment from reality is more embarrassing than sitting in last place.
Every one can see you don't really believe in playoffs. So why are you treating your fans like they're imbeciles that need to be protected from the harsh reality of rebuilding a roster.
Sorry, but eff this franchise and it's loser culture top to bottom.

Same, I saw the reactions on here and social media before watching it - I expected worse. The only part I took issue with was his animated insistence that Gridin belongs in the AHL and young players shouldn't be here. That also seemed to be the only answer he said with his full chest. Everything else was canned answers about organizational identity.

If higher ups didn't want Conroy around, if they felt Conroy should be building a winner this year, the teams record would have him gone already.

Have to give Cooley all the credit in the world. He did not look an NHL goalie at all a while back, and he has completely turned it around since preseason.

That Maloney interview was pretty concerning to me. Is Conroy going to get a contract? I sure hope so. It feels like the Flames are on their way to trying to build a true Stanley Cup contender for the first time in my lifetime.
