Good, this is the right (and expected) move to make.

Seems like an obvious move for the Flames. Let Parekh show off while removing a useful player out of the lineup.

Absolute no brainer.

O.K. there has been a lot of talk on whether or not MacTavish has actually done a good job for us, most fans on this board are very basic in their analysis and I feel would change their opinion entirely if the team was successful.

Will be a very good developmental stage for him.

Not quite nhl ready but too good for junior. This tournament was sorely needed.

I hope he tears it up.

Pretty much a conditioning stint after his injury

The most no-brainer move of the season.

If he doesn’t dominate - and never getting a sniff of WJC in the past hints he won’t - i wonder if they’d consider sending him back down to junior after.
He won’t be at 40 games. The season is a write off, and I’m not sure he learns pro habits by drowning.
Just go shake and bake kid. Adapt to pro in the AHL next year.

lol is this a real post? he absolutely dominated junior hockey...he was a major snub last year, the team got their asses handed to them, coach and management were let go.

I really hope they don't... It would be a nice little break for us Flames fans to watch Zayne at WJC.

He should probably finish the year in junior after that. He isn't NHL ready and I don't think it hurts a player in his 19-20 year old season to dominate another year in junior. Most prospects in that group do go back to junior. It sure beats the alternative of rushing a player and having them off the ice because of injury. Gotta be patient with these prospects.

FWIW, game 40 for the Flames in on December 31st.
