Long as he doesn’t help team win the season I’m fine with this. Hopefully just a warm body replacement if we trade a vet for futures.

Not surprised. He's a Ryan Huska 4th line kind of player.
A big kid who can pk, win faceoffs, and eat defensive zone assignments (with not so great results)
Maybe he can enjoy a bit more success, and even become a serviceable guy with easier deployments here, but there isn't much to be excited about.

Cool. Why not.
Not sure why anyone would thumbs down any sort of movement or change at this point for the Flames. We are terrible.

Hopefully he stands up for his teamates and can protect some of our skilled guys....once we acquire some.

and he's younger, and bigger than the muck we have currently. By most accounts faster too.
It's largely irrelevant, and a bit odd because we're so congested at Forward with "muck" already, but makes more sense if a body is getting traded in the near future.
I like Beecher on the roster more than Hunt/Kirkland for sure.

I would rather give these opportunities to players drafted/developed internally. Beecher does not move the needle versus what is currently available in this organization.
I think this could rub some of the guys pushing for NHL spots the wrong way, or I guess it could motivate them to push harder.
Just a weird move for me for a forward group that was already overcrowded.

Respectfully, not a serious organization right now.

Hahahahahaha.
Maybe it will work out or not but I just laughed. We already have an excess of spare parts, what is another.

I'm a patient person and usually of the wait-and-see attitude.
But why add another middling player with a defined ceiling when you can audition some of your own?

I think a move like this just signals to the depth centres that they aren't good enough. If he was a winger, I'd be more confused...but right now?
Beecher Vs. Kirkland, Bishop, and Morton? I'm more than fine with Beecher.
Does it create a ripple of negativity through the Wranglers? I doubt it.

Calgary is currently in the first claim position right? This might be a guy who had a claim or two
