I haven’t been in a Best Buy for probably 5-6 years at least.

Me personally, I kinda cringe at the people who pull the gas pump to the far side of the vehicle. Not that I think there's a right or wrong side, I just personally imagine that I wouldn't really want the hose slapping around on the side of my vehicle. It might scratch or smear something dirty on the vehicle or whatnot.

If there's an arm or the hose is higher up in design that keeps the hose from touching the vehicle, it's no issue at all. I think I've seen such designs in Asia and Europe, but I don't think I've seen them in North America.

My sister only fills up at Costco. Where she lives, a brand new gas bar (not sure what brand) was built a block and a half from her house. She continues to go out of her way to realize a savings by filling at Costco. Is it really that much cheaper to fill up with regular gas from Costco? I value my time and stop for gas where convenient. Not to save 3 bucks a fill or whatever it is.

Just pull up further past the pump and hold onto the hose so it doesn’t slide along the car.

As a veteran petroleum transfer engineer used to servicing rentals driven by tourists, it's not a big deal. You run the hose low, try to go below or across the bumper. The hoses these days are pretty non-marking.

No brain injury. Guess I have just enough going on in my life that memories of how strangers were carting TVs out at Best Buy half a decade ago didn’t make the cut. Neat that it’s a core memory for you though. Everybody’s different!

I suppose you're right. I does take a lot of mental capacity working so many internet expert professions all at once, but I was certain that operations of an electronics retailer was on your resume.

Are we still pretending giant shopping carts don't make perfect sense since it's a bulk store? Is everyone here too moronic to understand that if you used a Safeway cart in Costco you could get paper towels and toilet paper then you'd have to be on your way?

Costco is great except that I have to go 10 times a week because they use these tiny little carts.

It doesn’t really. Using the internet is quite simple for most people.
