Cue gnashing of teeth.
I thought Kerins looked just OK. Had some good moments but was behind the play a lot.
Hunt to the pressbox, Morton to 4C, Sharangovich in the lineup?

Huska is the worst manager at forward line utilization.
Kerins comes in, has two games above 70% xGF and looks fine, send him down so we can dress Lomberg and call up Hunt.
I guarantee Huska will say it's about line match ups on the road or something but it's mostly just him managing scared like he always does.
Like honeslty calling a guy up, playing him two games on wing instead of his natural position at center, and then sending him back down for no real reason is such a terrible way to manage a prospect

They outchanced the opposition 24-8 in two games.. and high danger chances were 10-1 with those two on the ice.
But, sure, let's send him down after that.

Good.
Morty deserves it and is a better fit for the fourth line.

Says to me that Sharangovich goes back in on Kadri's wing and since Huska believes it's top six or bust for certain guys like Kerins, he's no longer needed.

Lol we may never see Kerins again. Tough for the kid, no road trip paycheck for you, hope he can eventually catch on somewhere else where he gets a genuine 10 game look.
My frustration with this is less result and more process, Kerins might very well end up being a AAAA tweener, might be something more, but it doesn't seem like this staff have any interest in finding out one way or the other.
Alternatively, what's the deal with William Stromgren? 22 years old, 156 AHL games and has yet to make his NHL debut. 13 points in 16 games isn't awful, seems odd a guy like that has yet to get a look.
Hunt is a very good AHL player, happy for him to get some NHL pay, but he's also 30 next week. We're 32nd, would it kill this staff to think about some long term development?
