Celebrated Square Root Day

These junk meme fights are so goofy. It's all about the hype and money and our society does a great job of giving them what they wanted out of it.

Yeah I can't do it. Knew the Tyson one would be junk too, but it's freaking Tyson so I caved in the end. I'll never watch a Paul "fight" again after that last one, good lord what a racket. Prepare to be disappointed.

Yeah, I'm just not a 'Combat Sports' kind of guy, I find it interesting but I dont watch them.
However, that being said, 'The Pauls' have some of the most punchable faces around today, if some real fighter came around and caved one in and I found out about the next day...I might be tempted to look up highlights.
The really despicable things about 'The Pauls' is that regardless of getting their faces caved in or not, they win. No matter what happens those clowns win and the clowns the paid to watch them are the ones who lose.
They walk away with a staggering cheque, that the audience essentially gave them, regardless of how much blood is on their faces.
Theres no honour in any of this. Its a farce. Its a con. And an obvious one at that.

I was just looking at this, and Joshua can’t weigh over 245lbs. His usual weigh ins are closer to 255, so that’s a major disadvantage. I hope he ends this whole farce in 20-30 seconds, but I think the sideshow will continue.

On today's episode of "Two Broke Dudes"...
Quote:
Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao will meet again in a professional boxing rematch Sept. 19 at the Sphere in Las Vegas.
The fight will be streamed globally on Netflix.
The announcement comes just days after Mayweather announced his intentions to come out of retirement following his 2026 exhibition against Mike Tyson and had signed a multifight partnership with CSI Sports/Fight Sports.
Pacquiao came out of retirement himself last July and battled then-WBC welterweight champion Mario Barrios to a majority draw. He will also compete in an exhibition when he faces Ruslan Provodnikov on April 18 at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas.
It is not yet known what weight class the fight will be contested at or over how many rounds.
|
Quote:
Mayweather, who turns 49 on Feb. 24, retired from boxing at the age of 40 after his August 2017 knockout of MMA star Conor McGregor, which ran his record to a perfect 50-0 with 27 wins by stoppage. He has since stayed active competing in exhibitions against the likes of Logan Paul and John Gotti III.
It was announced last September that Mayweather and Tyson would meet in an exhibition match in spring 2026. No date or site has yet been confirmed.
Pacquiao, 47, has long been after a rematch with Mayweather, suggesting he wasn't 100% when they first met due to an injured shoulder. He initially retired from boxing following his 2021 loss to Yordenis Ugas but returned in 2025 to face Barrios.

I'm surprised Mayweather is only 49. Seems like he's been around forever, partially because of the coming back from retirements. This will be another fight I won't bother watching. Mayweather has shown time and time again his fights are frauds. He was never an offensive guy but he'll defend to no end and it'll be boring as hell to watch. Pacquiao is simply too hold and hasn't been active enough to make it work. Just a pure money grab for exhibition. Say what we will about the Jake Paul fights, but I truly think he wants to win and as such, trains. Mayweather just wants more money and has no qualms about saying that.
