This is like the least surprising news once he was eligible to sign with any team

Did you know that there are 3 Petterssons on the team?

The graphic designer missed a glorious chance to caption the image, ‘KÄMPF IS MEIN!’

Of course, he'd have got fired immediately after, but what a way to go out!

So many moves by the Canucks that are unlikely to move the needle in Reichel and now Kampf. Management clearly wants to make the playoffs but also aren't willing to pay up to bring in an actual difference maker.

So give up a willander or lekkermaki for a season and a half of Zacha? You have to be a Treliving level of stupid to do that.

There are no moves currently on the table that make any sense. The team went into the season without a 2C and have since lost their starting goalie, both top defenders, their entire 3rd line and each of their top wingers for points of the season.

Making any trade now with the hole they've fallen into early would be the definition of good money behind bad.

Agreed. If the Canucks don't start digging out fast, their next trade or two will probably be getting assets for expiring contracts.

Evander Kane has only a partial NTC and could fetch something, especially with retention. After that I suppose we're looking at the likes of Sherwood and Blueger. Sherwood might be an attractive bit of secondary scoring for a team looking to make a run, do you think?

Huh? Chytil was their 2C going into the season.

Even the team viewed him as a winger in the best case scenario. He became 2c by default when they got no one.
