Have to think The Knob is on the chopping block soon. There is zero chance that Mavi, DraiSelke or Douchard are going to take any accountability for the performance of this team even though they typically play half the game.
Look at the list of coaches the Glitter Twins have burned. Is there ever a time when they realize it isn't the coach?
And he just signed a 3 year extension on Oct. 3, a mere 45 days ago. That is probably buying him some time, as the Oilers would look pretty stupid (which they are good at) if they fired him so quickly.
I wouldn't be surprised if they were looking into what Connor's AAA coach is up to, just to be ready.
I mean, if you have 2 of the top 5 point getting forwards in the league, and a defenceman you're paying $10.5M for just their offense, the powerplay better be elite every year. That's like the bare minimum that probably doesn't even need coaching.
I don't have the data to back up my claim, but are teams playing more disciplined against the Oilers? To avoid their power play?
I am hoping part of it is that the refs are becoming more aware of the embellishment outright faking the Oilers do to try and get powerplays. I'd like to think that they are tired of being embarrassed after every game when it's pointed out to them that fell for shenanigans over and over.

Ahhh....that's why McDiver willing to sign a two years extension, with no raise.
since he is on pace for 15 points on the season, he is clearly deferring to the other Calder hopeful on the team as not to split the votes. Clearly Savoie is head and shoulders above Howard at this point being on a 22 point season pace.

Didn't the fans have him pencilled in on the top line with 25 or so goals this year? I guess they didn't say which league.

I see there's Oilers fans backtracking now saying nobody ever said that and that he will get 30 goals either next season or the season after that. And they're blaming Knoblauch for his lack of production.
