And then Zverev dumps a volley into the net and then gets extra passive and Felix makes him pay. FAA one set away from the semis taking the opening set 6-4

Darn it, hope those break point chances don't come back to haunt FAA.
Edit: That's a big hold from 15-40 down, often after being unable to break, there can be a let off and you get broken. Clutch serving from Felix just now.

Felix needs to break here, Zverev is on the ropes.
Edit: Another chance comes and goes.

Zverev serving at 4-5 in set 2. Captain Obvious says a Felix break would be fantastic timing.
Edit: At worse, Felix will have to play a tie-break in set 2.
Edit 2: Tie-break it is.

woot!! Felix into the semi=finals after a 6-4 7-6 win over Zverev. Nerves a plenty, but he prevails in the end.

The perks of having a strong year. Ending the year at #5 would make it a very merry Christmas for him!

Of note, Felix had a grand total of zero double faults today. Will need to have a similar serving day versus Charlie on Saturday.

Sinner is just unbeatable these days, De Minaur played a great match today, but Sinner doesn't give you a chance to catch your breath, he's just relentless.

As I mentioned above, Felix has now secured finishing the year as #5 in the world. He would rise to #4 if he wins the ATP Finals, but I just don't see that happening. I just want to see a great match versus Charlie today win or lose.

I don't know what else you can do when Charlie is playing like this, Felis plays this way against anybody else aside from Carlos and Jannik and he's winning the set easily. Instead, he just took it on the chin 6-2

It's the final we all expected as Charlie wins 6-2 6-4. Heck of a match from Felix today and what a 2025 he had, now time to rest for a bit because 2026 is not far away.

In BJK CUP qualifiers going on in Mexico, after dropping the opening rubber versus Denmark, the Canadian ladies rallied to take it 2-1 behind Victoria Mboko and Gaby Dabrowski who won the decisive match as a doubles tandem after Vicky won her singles match to level things. The Canadian take on the host Mexicans later today.

Tennis is in good hands with these two guys going forward. Not much of a drop off in entertainment value from the Big 3 to the Terrific Two in my opinion.
