Stephen King is 78, so any dementia would not be considered early onset

Finished S2 of Gen V. Was pretty entertaining and if you are into The Boys, it ties into the final season of that series coming up.

Amazon Prime has a bunch of the British Series SAS Who Dares Wins. I've seen scattered episodes and series over the years and it's seriously entertaining.

How big is Oak Island? I mean...these dudes have been at this since what seems like forever. You'd think a dedicated duo and a backhoe would have found something by now.

13 seasons? Guys...just...let it go. If you havent found whatever the hell you're looking for by now? Just let it go. It either probably isn't there or you just have to make peace that you are crappy treasure or curse hunters or whatever the hell it is that is supposedly there.

I never got into this show but I saw an ad for Season 13 and all I could think of was..."these guys are still at it??"

After 13 years you could have built a house on Oak Island and the Curse would probably have come to you by now...statistically one would think that after all this time you'd have stumbled over any curse or treasure on accident just by probability alone.

The real treasure was the friendships they forged. And the tourism and tv show revenue.

The Curse of Oak Island has been going so long that jokes about how long it's been going are passé

Clearly they have found something profitable, it just turned out to be viewers hanging on to the slightest sliver of hope, and not treasure. Yay commercials.

Yeah this show so far has improved on the "IT" movies in my opinion. Very impressive and scary as all hell.

Spoiler!

I don't think it's been mentioned in this thread yet... The Lowdown on Disney+ just finished its season this week and it's pretty solid.

It's from the same creator as Reservation Dogs (one of the best tv series in recent years), but has a very different vibe from that show.

It stars Ethan Hawke, and if you want to see him get the crap kicked out of him almost every episode, this is the show for you.

The most amazing thing is it's written by the Fresh Prince.

Where does he find the time while also winning the World Series and being a point per game player for the San Jose Sharks?

Man, Ep1 started and ended with a bang. That was a ride.

I dare say, more intense than the movies so far.
I have such visceral memories (not good) from my childhood reading the first part of It and only ATTEMPTING to watch the original movie, that I swore I would never read or watch a horror movie again for a long time. It literally was the foundation for my irrational fear of anything horror related.

So when the new ones came out, I actually avoided them, as my memories didn't allow me even subject myself to them. Only recently, as in like 2 weeks ago, did I decide I should watch the new It. And the irrational basis that made me re-think it, was that It really only went after children. lolol...

But that first effing scene in the new It with Georgie, omg i was horrified and it brought back every base memory. Then i proceeded to watch Welcome to Derry, but ensuring my family was home first and asleep upstairs. lol.

Yes, i'm a gd child

The 2017 film scared the hell out of me. Loved it.

The 2017 film was amazing. I just finished E3 of Welcome to Derry and...tonally, this show is all over the place but...its never boring.

And where do they find these child actors? They must be teaching them young because I remember when kid actors used to suck and now they're carrying this show.

You know what’s kind of funny is how some child actors were a lot better and then they became horrible actors, like Ralph Macchio.

Haha, in your defense, they are damn good movies. It 1 & 2 where the first movies in a while that actually shook me a bit. Not sure what it is, they aren't terrifying per say but man are they creepy AF.

And then comes along Welcome to Derry to really wind things up even more.

I think the original Conjuring movie was the only other show that genuinely spooked me a bit.

Ep3 was really good. While not filled with WTF like the other 2, it was really interesting. Liking the time jump. Really interesting that the military is aware of it and the various "events" in the past. This has been a really good series.

Watched the first couple episodes of The Beast in Me

It has been decent so far. A writer who is struggling with her current book (arguably boring subject matter - she is having difficulty writing a story that you wonder how many people want to hear) has a high profile neighbour move in, who was suspected in his wife’s disappearance. That’s a bit more interesting.

The set up is good enough, hopefully it’s a well developed story from here
