TD on fire.

Fotze you need something like this: https://www.homedepot.ca/product/ide...arm/1000741496

When he opens the door it shrieks. I see out of stock there but I am sure amazon has something similar.

Sorry to hear this. I love my dog.

Chapters/indigo books.

I went to go buy some books in store and they charged me more than the cover price on all of them. And when I asked they told me it’s because they don’t always charge the cover price on books. I asked how I’m supposed to know how much anything costs they told me that I can use the website but the website also makes up prices. So if the cover price on a book is 9.99 they might charge 19.99 on their website. They even tell you that their website is separate and has their own pricing scheme.

When I complained they relented and charged me the cover price on all the books I bought.

In what universe does a business charge different prices than the ones that are on the products without telling their customers. If they want to cover up the upc on every product in store with their own price tag and go right ahead but don’t let me shop for books only to get to the front counter and find out that I paid a 30% premium.

I assume that'd be some sort of breach of the competition act. Seems they haven't signed up for the voluntary scanner accuracy code. Either way, it's greasy.

I think buying from local independent book stores is a better idea.

I usually hit up the shop on 4th and 13 ave but today I happened in on indigo and it’s likely the last time.

Thing is I’m used to comic book stores ignoring the CDN cover price but they always clearly state they do US prices plus exchange and I’m cool with it. It makes total sense.

This was literally just indigo hiking up the price on books because they’re crooks. It’s so scummy.

Is that even a thing anymore? I'd be 100% on board, I've got a hoard of books that I've accumulated over my lifetime and the vast majority of them came from local independent used book stores.

But also, I went into this one store and the service was atrocious...

I had sushi for lunch with a frac company. So I did not have to pay so not all bad. But I do this once a week.

They ask "Want sushi", not at all, but I will say yes to be polite.

I don't want to be tempura and miso soup guy, so I soldier through it. Every piece is like a tequila shot. Do not puke or gag buds. Its disgusting.

Even if it tasted not horrible the amount of crap per bite is so large you cannot help but gag.

I cannot understand the allure. My family loves it.

Now I am barping up acidy fish barfs in my mouth.

I have done this a thousand times and I will do it again.

The amount of soy sauce I had to ingest to choke them down is ridiculous. Every time I eat sushi its like doing tequila shooters but without the added drunk effect benefit.

There is no no one earth who has tried to like sushi more than me on earth. Gotta hang up the skate.

Vendor sushi is the best sushi. It’s not the best in Calgary but it’s always better than paying yourself.

Man, I really think you need to just say what you want when people ask. If you said to the sales rep, "not feeling sushi today, how about steaks/pasta/irish pub/whatever you actually like" I guarantee you he wouldn't be upset. If you did that twice in a row they'd start offering to take you for something else. He probably thinks you love sushi.

There’s also some solid stir fry dishes if you were at kubuku or sukiyaki house. If you’re not into the sushi. Often forgot but I’ve had a couple times.

I never eat sushi but love Dynamite Rolls, California Rolls, etc. Maybe give them a shot.

This was not this massive hate thing. This thread is yelling at clouds is it not. Sushi is gross in much less words. Thread is bring my gears, no grind my gears but totally reasonably so.

Lobsters I kinda get, they're a decent size and the meat has some taste to it so I can eat it without much issue. But I don't understand the obsession that so many people have with crab. The meat is incredibly bland, the amount of work you need to put in to get at said bland meat is way off on the effort-to-reward scale, and it's usually one of the highest priced things on the menu. It sucks even if you're not the one eating crab when out at a restaurant, as you sit there for twice as long as you would otherwise waiting for people to crack through their bland sea dumpster with some of the worst dining sound effects I can think of

I may have some PTSD from being a kid with a mom who loved going to Red Lobster for crab night

I feel like I found my people.

Raw fish with seaweed? Pass. See spiders? Pass. Weird boiled alive turn red arthropods from the Paleozoic? Big pass.
