Klapka has been all over the crease this period. Good period for him.

Regardless, I’m not saying they haven’t traded away lots of other veterans nor made any terrible cap UFA signings. Just simply pointing out that a true full rebuild team said to be doing it for the last 18 months wouldn’t hold onto other guys unless they wanted to push for the spot last year.
They pivoted a little, clearly.

Is Binnington going to try and go for the empty net if he gets the puck?

The choices a GM makes are not always in a linear path and they have to try and be flexible. Was it a mistake at the time? Maybe (depending on the deals available). But when it didn't work out they seem to have gone back to rebuild mode.
|
Some people have a hard time with any form of rebuild that isn’t a completely linear, black and white tear-it-down-to-the-studs-and-try-to-lose “rebuild.”

At times posters here said he wasn't even an NHler and they should bring up Cooley

I think the story was that he had said he wasn't interested in waiving early on and so they respected that. I do t think anyone said "huge offer" or that they asked him about a specific deal. And yes, they did purposely decide to make a PO push which they missed by a point.

Crash and Bang Winger

Win an important face off like that, then you get a boneheaded mishandle of the puck by Weegar, he's a large part of our tank so far lol.

Based on fantasy? There were better goalies available than Vladar and they weren't moved. There wasn't much of a goalie market last deadline and there were better options if teams wanted one

Sure, but the consistent story has been that Kadri did not want to leave. So it’s moot.
