With my arm outstretched the tail was as big as the distance between tips of my thumb and pinky fingers when my fingers were spread.
And, like the Aurora photos you see, the comet isn’t as bright to the naked eye as it shows in the linked photo.

What a beauty. Went out there following the note in this thread but must have missed it or couldn't find it

Looks like a strong chance tonight, but the weather forecast has thunderstorms possible, so we may miss it, or get a good combo.

Super strong sporadically, red hue is what you are looking for. It will look far stronger with a phone or camera but it is visible to the naked eye.

Camera seems to be the key. You can see some pink / red in the sky, but need something better than human eyes.

I must be the only person in this damn city who hasn't seen them here. The last 3 alerts, including last night, I have gone to the nice clear field by my house and perhaps see a very faint hue, but never the cool photos everyone else has.

Those photos only look cool because cameras will pick up the lights much stronger than the naked eye can. Next time try looking at the sky through your phone camera and you'll probably see something

I definitely did that. Was at the sport's field on 130th ave looking north. Nothing to see other than an extremely faint hue and nothing extra in the camera. This around 730pm.

Some phone cameras aren’t great. My basic iPhone SE is crap for that.

Oh cool, good to know. I was tempted to go grab my proper camera, but my 5 and 7 year old were really enjoying watching them and the coyotes were howling not far from us, so I figured we better keep it close…haha.
