Agreed. Tying it up would be ideal for Flames fans but they need to go into the third down by one at worst.

Yup, exactly. We picked up some nice pieces on the way down but this is what rock bottom looks like and despite the expectations of it losing is ugly and it sucks.

You can choose to beleive what you want, and that’s absolutely fine.
I’m not mad.
But those of us who have heard quite differently from people far more connected to the pulse of the team/room like Sec and diss and a few others have all heard very differently.
I’m not mad if you don’t believe me or think it’s real, I’m okay with that.
But some do, so I share some of what I hear.

Wolf is for real. Parekh is a maybe. I do like what Reschny has been doing but the 1C is the huge missing piece.

Binnington looks to have the composure of a future Oiler.

What’s scary is this almost seems too perfect it’ll probably come true.

Depending on how this game ends I would love to hear how Huska explains not challenging Walker hitting Hanley into the goalie, pushing the goalie out of the crease and leaving an empty net goal. Don’t think you are allowed to hit the goalie out of the crease.

You may be repeating verbatim what you hear but that also doesn't make it accurate. It makes it an interpretation of an interpretation. Because it's pretty rare for any player to badmouth a teammate to anyone not in the team. No matter how connected to the team they are.
I hear stuff from ex Flames that turn out to be 100% wrong.

With all due respect Sec and Dis as posters I take everything they say with a gigantic grain of salt and most of what I see is attention seeking stuff. You as a poster and an "insider" I look to quite a bit and if you have inside information about it that's totally fine but it needs to be added on that you've heard stuff when posting the mood, emotions and will of a player. I'm not an insider, I know and/or work with a couple ex NHL or drafted guys and hear stuff but information isn't something I seek out. When it comes to get inside a head of a guy.. you always have to be careful.
Me personally ? I haven't seen Andersson being some outlier about caring on this team. He seems to care more than some guys on long term deals TBH

I just feel like allowing one after getting close would pop the balloon.

Folks, if you can't see how a guy like Andersson who is as blunt as a baseball bat and has a bag full of sass for anyone who looks at him the wrong way wouldn't or couldn't rub his teammates the wrong way in a bad season when he's trying to secure his retirement contract as a pending UFA and it's all going wrong.... Well I feel you'd be intentionally putting your head in the sand.

Good looking PP. Coronato's release looks a bit quicker after getting the goal.

I’m not saying he’s a terrible person or someone who doesn’t care about the game of hockey. Last year I’d say he may have been the most dialled in, in terms of wanting to win.
But if you think the level of care in how the team does this season is the same as it’s been, then I won’t convince you.
He’s playing for a new contract with a new team, he knows he’s not coming back because he chose not to. This is why he should have been traded in the off-season and they did try, but he wouldn’t extend for one and the other he blocked.

He's such a psycho that if he were ever an Oiler, he would definitely attack Nurse or Bouchard after one of their classic defensive plays leading to a goal.
It would be amazing.

Gridin is really good too, Coronato has an elite shots...cant compare the Flames to a down to the studs rebuild. They also still have high end vets to trade

I just find the timing interesting is all. After almost 8 periods without a goal suddenly it is revealed that Rasmus has been some huge problem in the locker room.
Maybe he has been, I don't know. But it seems maybe that information is coming 2nd hand from people who are trying to find someone to blame for the season going the way it is. I don't see him on the ice looking like he doesn't care compared to other players.
