He may want to go to the NHL, but if he is physically not mature enough to handle the punishment why would he or the organization rush him when he is not ready?
Especially if he can continue to collect NIL money next year in college.

He wants to start the clock on his NHL contract and he wants to play in the NHL. Look what he did in the CHL he is fine, more than fine.
You really think he would be the first forward 1st overall in 21 years to not play in the NHL immediately? Highly doubt it

If by chance the Flames get McKenna I don't want Ryan neuter Huska anywhere near him.

Probably already posted in this thread, but just in case.
Odds makers had Huska at 40% likely to be the next NHL coach fired as of a week ago. I don't think his odds of keeping the job have improved.

He just signed an extension.
I don't see him leaving before the end of the year.

No sense firing him. The season is lost.
He will exit mid way through next season or after that season.
This is the way

Exactly. There is not a coach in the league (or out of it) that could possibly get this team to the playoffs. Finish the tank, then bring in someone new to turn things around.

Yeah, I agree. But odds makers are uncanny with this stuff.
I think he should see out his contract. We won't be good enough to justify firing him before then.
I'll be happier when CC takes some of Huska's old toys away from him.

That makes sense only if odds makers are basing it on the team’s record. Which is dumb.

There probably isn't a very robust market for this type of wager so I don't give as much weight to those kinds of odds. They are usually just written as fodder to get people to a particular gambling site.
