As bad as it would be to lose those guys, the sooner it happens the sooner we bottom and start climbing again.
This team being historically bad is happening whether Murray wants it or not.
In submarine parlance, we have to crash dive now.
This feels like 98 again. Flames need a star player to build some hope and excitement.

We have a great culture, wouldn't want to lose any of these great vets that help make the culture so amazing.

You still don't get what the word ‘culture’ actually means, do you? I'm not the least bit surprised.

It is interesting that Kuznetsov probably would have been out of the lineup if Bahl was good to go and ends up being their best player.
It's almost like young guys need NHL games to continue to develop and find their game in the NHL and you can't just play them once and expect them to be instant NHLers.
Send down Kirkland. Sit Lomberg. And make space for guys like Kerins, Stromgren and Morton to get more looks to learn how to play in the NHL.

It seems like Huska is making difficult to the players to play successful by constantly changing partners, putting them wrong spot or forcing safe system to limit scoring chances.
But I like we keeping the last place for now and I hope management start to think about trading veterans sooner than later.

...although that may risk some excess wins. Sounds risky.

Last place in the league but the culture is still very strong. Much better than the Oilers.

Do you know what it means? Are you in the locker room with the players and know how the culture is?

Well, that’s somethin’.
Was Weegar in the game? -3, bad game all around from him.
Calling out half the team when you’re ass is an approach.

Wait I thought the concensus was they were too good to finish low and we're destined for mushy middle all week. I must have missed the snarky "culture" joke memo.
Jokes aside, Kuznetsov looked good and played a lot. Klapka and Honzek looked ok too. If we get the draft pick we hope there is a lot more losing ahead.

The culture with Backlund, Kadri, Coleman, etc and some of the other vets was terrible in 22-23 and 23-24 while they were losing.
Then the culture was suddenly great when they were having a good season in 24-25.
And now the culture is crap again with all those same players in 25-26.
Feels like the general feelings are just that the team culture is bad when they are losing and it's good when they are winning.
Know how you build a good team culture. You build a winning team, that's how you build a good team culture.

I know what culture means in general. There are certain factors that all successful players have in common, except for a few who can get by on exceptional talent. What those things are has been discussed in great detail on this board, but of course you either didn't read it or forgot it. Telling you again won't make a lick of difference.

No, the RESULTS were crap, then great, then crap. If you think culture is a function of results, you are putting the cart before the horse, and thereby preventing yourself from ever understanding how these things actually work.

Oh, is that how the Oilers got to be so great when they rebuilt after the 2007 teardown?
You build the culture FIRST, then the winning follows. Winning is a function of having the talent + doing the right things to make that talent produce results. It's the ‘doing the right thing’ part that has to be passed along by example from player to player.
Either that, or you know, there's no such thing as culture and Connor McDavid won the Stanley Cup as a rookie because he's so gosh-darned talented and that's all there is to the game.
