Default Pluribus - New Show From Vince Gilligan on Apple TV

Official Trailer dropped today.

Quote:
Set in Albuquerque, New Mexico, the series follows author Carol Sturka, who seems to be the only person immune to an unexplained virus that transforms the world's population into content and optimistic citizens.

Really looking forward to this. Seems to be weird like Severance.

And the ageless Jack Abbott from Y&R is President!

Possible Spoilers:

Is Victor Newman the leader of the opposition?

Miguel picks him up in the limo, and takes him to The Colonnade Room.

I've been reading they are spending $15 million/episode on this. I guess it's either going to be great or a giant flop. Gilligan is a great storyteller, so I'm betting on the former. 2 episodes come out Friday!

Hopefully the pace of the show isn't as glacially slow as Better Call Saul.

Pluribus is a dazzling piece of entertainment. It takes advantage of everything Gilligan learned about patient storytelling with Breaking Bad and Saul, then combines it with the high-concept ambition of X-Files, as well as the visual flair Gilligan has developed as a director on all his shows. Though the plot involves every person on the planet, the focus is often entirely on Carol, as Gilligan relies on all the things he realized Seehorn could do — tragedy, slapstick, and sheer screen presence — during her time playing attorney Kim Wexler on Saul. There are long stretches where we’re just watching Carol struggle through various tasks, like digging a grave. And it’s riveting.

The big TV event of next week — and, depending on how much Stranger Things affection you do or don't have at this point, the big TV event of the rest of the year — is the debut of Apple's Pluribus, reteaming Vince Gilligan and Rhea Seehorn. I'll be reviewing it. I will also be recapping every episode. I'm embargoed from giving you my opinion on it until the first two episodes are literally available to stream. But perhaps you can read between some lines here.

That's sacrilege!

I loved the pacing of that show.

If it's anywhere near as good as that show I'll be watching.

Sounds like someone is addicted to tiktoks and youtube shorts... lol

Better Call Saul is possibly the best TV series of all time.

Episode pacing was okay, the wait between seasons was not okay.

Did anyone else’s Apple TV just crash?

I am unable to play the first episode anymore. It was working 10 minutes ago.

Aliens from 600 LY away sent us a DNA sequence. Should we try it?

Of course! What's the worst that can happen?

Nobody ever accused humanity of being smart. Like that time Jodie Foster built that preposterously expensive spaceship.

Like..."sure...why not?"
