I’ve always thought that the magic of these sets was the ability to not know the builds were many tiny LEGO pieces unless you looked closely.
I’m not a fan of making it blindingly obvious that it’s LEGO as the saucer section does. Could they really not have used one less brick layer so that they could smooth the hull?
I’ll still buy it (wife approval factor will have to be ignored) but I too was hoping for more pieces and a build that makes me desperate for the next one. And I hope that next one is a Klingon battle cruiser.
And I’m still waiting for another rollercoaster. Roller coasters don’t repeat a lot, and as they are working units they really show off the Lego building techniques.
