February? Sure there's family day but it's the last truly front to back cold month that people just want to pass by as quickly and as possible. The fact it's only 28 days should tell you that it's a month that even ancient civilization didn't want hanging around too long.

I know a lot of people come here to get affirmation from people they already agree with, and dunk on the groups they hate. Those others guys are FRACKING IDIOTS!!!, followed by virtual fist-bumps, accounts for about 80 per cent of the content here.

But the hate-affirmers would get pretty bored if that’s all this forum had to offer. There’s only so much political circle-jerking even the most avid circle-jerkers can indulge in before it loses its appeal*. What keeps this forum from dying out altogether is the people who push back against the crowd and generate a bit of engagement.

* The terminal state of CP Off-Topic will be a Fuzz making daily posts in 2037 about how much he hates the UCP to an audience of a half-dozen lurkers.

To be fair places like 4chan are more a young man’s game so where else are you going to go to hate on the gays?

Is that why threads like the Recall one are going strong? Loads of contrarians keeping the conversation interesting?

Maybe your analysis says more about how you find engagement online than anything else.

Again man, you gotta just appreciate everyone for their eccentricities. Is Cliff’s post based in reality? Not really. We’re mostly just a bunch of dudes that enjoy each other’s company having casual conversations about whatever, that’s what keeps it going. But it’s a classic Cliff post. Speak warmly about the super serious marketplace of ideas that is CP and the value of contrarians fighting against the group think, while also being the first to cry about mods not doing their job, toss around hate speech and lol at people telling others to kill themselves, and literally never consider anyone else’s ideas nor having the ability to just be a silly little goose about something.

Pepsi, you have the lot of potential to be fun, but lately, you've just turned into a middling gaslighter, babe.

Calling your trolling effort second rate really did a number on the ego, huh?

Yes, I'm in therapy now, but also don't be such a follower, my guy. You're smart. You could really be someone who contributes here, and not someone who polices and dismisses those with valid concerns.

I'm always here for you with a little kiss if you decide to change your ways.

CP company bucks straight into my wallet. Sad that I can only spend them at the CP company store. It's all a racket for them to get more server space. I'm the victim here.

November is great, no distractions and you know the holidays are coming up so there's something to look forward to.
February is the worst. New Year's excitement/ January motivation has worn off; winter weather is just dragging on and Spring/Summer still feel too far away.

Poliver's job is to criticize the governing party. I understand wanting him to shut the #### up and disappear, but the truth is someone has to do that job. It's a crucial democratic institution.

I have this memory of a grey, dark, brown November in Calgary from when I was 8 and my dad took me to Walmart so I could buy some Desert Storm micromachines. As we were leaving, we saw a family going through the McDonald's garbage looking for scraps. My dad tried to offer him money, and maybe it was my child's imagination, but I swear the other father turned him away with a tear in his eye.

This memory has stuck with me for like 30+ years and is the final reason why November is ####ing hell month.

Actually, as some would have it here, his job should be to support the government.
