I wonder if Hanley is a little banged up. He has taken some pretty big hits the last little while.

Meh at best he's a 5/6 guy and that's probably reach based on what little I've seen. I'd much rather have a look at Hunter B who is off to a torrid start with 8 points in 10 games. I'd also love to see Morton back up here who has 10 points in 10 games and could actually be an upgrade on the 4th line.

Disagree. I think his floor is a 5/6 guy.

His upside is a top4 LD that may not get a lot of points but can generate offense. He can shut down the other team and turn the puck around to enable everyone else to get on the attack. That resulted in him leading the team in +/- by a large margin (+21 when the next best player was +8) while being #14 on the team for points.

I think he can come in and replace Hanley or Bean immediately but he has the potential to be better than either of them once he settles into the NHL.

I hope this is the start of him securing his spot and forcing one of the other guys off the roster. Hopefully he and Parekh hit it off. I think they would create an excellent balanced pair.

Bonus points: if Kuznetsov does establish himself as a top 4 LD then we can stop shopping for other team's equivalent of him. That means our only trade target would be to go after high-end Cs.

Caution: It is going to be hard for him to look good when the whole team looks so very bad.

I only hope he’s better at his job than the aircraft carrier.

This was Chris Tanev's offensive contribution. He had a very underrated first pass out of the zone.

How are we ever going to compete for the Stanley Cup if we don't bring up veterans like Miromanov? This team sometimes.

Cool! I hope this is the first of many moves where we bring up kids this season. Excited to see Kuz get some game action.

Never should've gone down to begin with..

Most nhl ready d-man.

It was brought up on the Wranglers broadcast but they should have given him a head start in the NHL last season to prepare him to be Parekh's partner when he came in. But they didn't think ahead and instead Parekh was a misfit that didnt match with the 3rd pairing options that were there.

The two look to be a good fit for each other, positionally and style wise. Hopefully thats the plan (eventually).

Sort of a different conversation isn't it?

Hunter B didn't require waivers to go down and wasn't part of the "who do you fear losing the most?" discussion.

They are forward jammed but I'd like to see Morton instead of Kirkland as well.

that was pretty much a no brainer to start the season. Inzayne that Bean, Miromanov had 11 games to start.

Once again I'll point out that Bean has been more than solid as a plug in for Weegar and a #6 defenseman.

Dmen ranks:
1st on the team in xGF%
1st on the team in xGF60
2nd on the team in xGA60
1st on the team in unwarranted wrath from fans

Hopefully he gets into the lineup and stays there for a good long look! Would be great if he can take a step forward this season and solidify himself at least as an NHL'er, regardless of where he slots.
