But yeah the slog of an 82 game season where you score 2.5 goals per game is still not a ton of fun.

Amd they got him because of another bad season

Classic millenial whining.
No patience. Must have what they want now the way they want it and only that way. Never mind that the millenial beside you won't be happy because it won't be their exact way too.
The owners are right to never fully rebuild, they know people are gonna whine through the whole thing. There is no winning with some people.
Legitimate lol at people who think that losing enough to get a high pick will ever be fun to watch. That's a wholly unrealistic expectation.
Classic millenials.

That's 1. Which one of you wanted Huberdeau to sit?

Huberdeau has been one of the better vets I’d say. I’m gonna be mad if they salvage this awful awful performance

I agree Zary could play center when he is on, but the way he is playing right now doesn't deserve that look. Sharangovich should be a winger, maybe with Frost and Farabee. Let them work and he can shoot the puck.

Sharks play a more open system than this. Their games are entertaining.
Huska hockey is like watching paint dry. This is the most boring team system possibly in hockey history.

As things stand Francis mentioned during intermission that Parekh will likely stay with the Flames, and he doesn't think he will be sent down. Which means that his pre-game tweet was just meant to generate outrage/engagement.
As for Zary, and Coronato being healthy scratched, it is concerning. I would be more inclined to agree with you guys if it becomes a regular occurrence.
Right now the Flames look like they're looking to sell and free up spots for the young guys. The best way to do that is by pumping up the vets value, and not by scratching them outright.

The most important thing is that Lombardi plays every game.
Not the young guys. Lombardi. Who I like BTW. But EVERY game.

That only really started this season.
For the most part bad teams are just bad and not fun to watch.
But this is the medicine we need to take to get to the other side of it.
The ideal season long-term is
- A top pick
- the trading of some additional veterans
- the development of players throughout the system
Those are the outcomes I care about this season.

Give me Monahan’s rookie year as a fun rebuilding year any day. Prospect to dream on and growth every night.

I would take the under if the betting line was 8 games for the total number of sharks games that have been watched by anyone in this thread that do not involve the Calgary Flames over the past 2 years.

What's "open" about it?
Other than cheating for offense and leaving their goalie high and dry and often getting outchanced every night.
Never mind they have, checks standings, one more win than the Flames.

Lombardi now that's a blast from the past. I actually really liked Lomberg in this game. A lot of really good hard hits. He also created a couple of chances on the forecheck. I think he's 3rd in the league in hits right now.

Yes, I also want them to play. It's why I said I wish they were being used differently. I think there's a happy medium between not playing them at all, and not letting them just play like it's the OHL.
It's why I also don't think it makes sense to send Parekh back to junior. I'd rather see him play in the NHL and learn on the fly.
