Have they learned nothing from the handling of Bennett?

This might end badly. Forsberg hasn't scored yet. Oh well.

Sometimes coaches think they’re so smart they end up outsmarting themselves.

He was given a great opportunity on the Backlund line to start the season. The whole line looked much worse with him on it. Last I checked, Honzek was also a young guy getting an opportunity in the same spot.
I want to see Zary back in the lineup as well, but I don't think that a couple of games are going to break him. I bet he centers Sharangovich and Coronato next game. While Farabee plays on the 4th line.

There really is no reason for a guy like Farabee or Sharo to play another game this season. Just let the kids play.

No one should have offered him that contract as early as they did. It was dumb when it happened, it’s dumb now.
Goes form healthy scratch in NJD, to riding a wild shooting % and getting a big pay day, to becoming pretty much a nothing burger.

I like Zary also but if he did the other things that Farabee does he would be playing. Move the puck at the right time, backcheck hard, play solid D in your own zone then he won't come out of the lineup.
Zayne is tough. He is talented enough but is maybe sending him down better than having him play in Calgary where every game the team is getting beat in all aspects. Personally I would play all the young guys but then you would probably get the Buff, SJ etc., situation where they become used to losing and that is hard thing to change.

Nashville doesn’t look especially good either, if there is a game the Flames could come back 3 goals from it could be this one. Killing penalties keeps certain impactful Flames (Kadri, Klapka) off the ice and not turning the momentum. If these Flames are what they are, Parekh isn’t the problem and should stay with the big club.

There is a reason these replaceable players are always available for trade, like with Sharangovich, Farabee, and Frost.
Teams aren't generally looking to trade away pieces they think will help them win in the future. All 3 of these players are inconsistent and replacement level. Although with Frost he he is somehow one of our better players lol so says a lot about the rest of the team.

I know there is this common Q from those in the fanbase who hate tanking and rebuilding, of "why do you want to fire the coach if he's leading this? You're getting what you want" and fair question. My answer is because losing due to incompetence is the worry, and still bad long term. Being team rebuild is not just a mentality of "being bad is good, so all bad players are good and all bad moves are good moves." It's not that binary. An org that drives itself into the basement through incompetence won't get out of the basement until it fixes itself. And we're still superfans

Why? Sharkbait a finally awakening, Farabee dare I say has been consistently one of the top 3 forwards on the ice every single night. Points may not be going but he's been real solid everywhere else. Chalk this year up as one where I didn't think I'd be the one defending Farabee.
