Ugh, I can only imagine that decrepit piece of #### sitting on his throne wheezing out palpatine like orders. I'm still hoping they lower his carcass into a grave in 2026.

I am curious if they change it to allow 3rd terms, would the dems bring out Obama? Would he want to do it again?

Can they just "change it"
Isn't the 2 term limit enshrined in the Constitution?

Yes it's in the constitution. It requires constitutional amendment which, practically speaking, is impossible in modern day US politics.

I have proposed this many times. I dont know necessarily where I stand in regards to Term Limits, I think they have many benefits as well as drawbacks.
For instance...
If America agreed to look the other way and instead of Trump vs. Hillary...would you, if you could, take Obama for round 3?
I sure as hell would have.
Then again...it should also guarantee that Don Drumpf is now done...presumably. So...two edges to that sword.
Now look at the current political landscape. I think the vast majority of people hate Trump. Loathe him. But...who do the Democrats have to trot out against him?
If he runs for round 3...somehow, I'm not an expert on US Political machinations, who do the Dems run against him with even a snowball's chance in Hell?
Buckle up. King Don is just getting warmed up.

Remember when Xi Jinping re-wrote the China CCP equivalent of the constitution that allowed him to stay another term and beyond, and he was (rightfully) criticized for it and the democratic West thumbed their noses saying that's what authoritarian governments do, and that our superior Western democracies would never fall victim to that? Funny how MAGA now look forward to Trump ripping up their constitution to stay in power a third term.
What a wild time we live in. We're witnessing the dismantling of US democracy in front of our very eyes.

Didn't Ford threaten to the cut or heavily tariff power exports and Trump caved (a bit) earlier in the year?
Why not do that again? Talk is cheap, actually set #### in motion and then watch them TACO.

They imposed a 25% tariff on energy exports but then quickly rescinded it. Cutting off power completely probably just hurts the province more than anything since they need the revenue.
They should put the tariffs back on. My only fear is that I think there is a less than zero chance that the U.S. takes military action if we drastically challenged their energy security and dependence.

The U.S. ambassador to Canada delivered an expletive-laced tirade at Ontario's trade representative at an event in Ottawa on Monday, multiple witnesses tell CBC News.
One witness said Hoekstra appeared to be upset about the anti-tariff ad that the province recently ran on television in the U.S., which has infuriated President Donald Trump. The witness said Hoesktra could be heard using the F-word and also mentioned Ontario Premier Doug Ford by name.

This dude has been such a smug prick ever since he was assigned to the position, and all he's done is spew nonsense and act like a complete jackass. There was a story the other day after Trump called off the trade talks where Hoekstra was addressing a Canadian audience at some event and said that Canada has "burned all the bridges" in regards to Ontario's anti-tariff ad, and that he doesn't see how they'll get back to the bargaining table before 2026.
Last I checked, we're not the ones who started this stupid bulls***. There's only one person in this entire fiasco who has burned any bridges, and it's the Orange Turd in the White House who decided to piss off the entire world by slapping illegal & unjustified tariffs on America's closest G7 allies and upend global trade.
