No idea why this coaching staff has such an obsession with Lomberg and Kirkland.

Kirkland should be in the AHL and Lomberg certainly can sit in the press box no need for him to dress every night.

Huska's forward utilization has been questionable his entire tenure here

I want to like Huska, but he keeps doing this stuff.

Klapka does everything asked of him, with a smile.

Matty is not going to find his game on the 4th line FFS.

Yeah, maybe he is a little banged up. Because he has been playing well - or at least, hasn't been a problem.

Thank you for reaching out. Based on the information that I was able to locate it looks like Shaw Cable broadcasts the Sportsnet Flames on channels 302(HD) and 326(SD).

It seems this channel is only available to those who have a Sportsnet package that includes Sportsnet One and Sportsnet West. This channel may also be limited to only Alberta residents.

You can also reach out to Sportsnet at https://www.sportsnet.ca/contact-us/.

I actually really liked Lomberg over the last 2 games. He was setting the tone with his checking, was very quick to close in on opposing players, pressure them, and either force a turn-over or deliver a good hit. Kirkland is the only C, unless you move one of Frost or Zary to the 4th line.

As for Coronato playing on the 4th line, it's not ideal, but who do you move to the 4th line? Both Kadri, and Backlund lines looked great last game, so you can't break them. That leaves Sharangovich that finally scored, and was playing much better, or Farabee - the best forward from the first 8 games.

I bet Coronato gets back into the top 9 as soon as this game. Especially, if one of the lines gets caved in, or doesn't start on time.

Surprised there has not been a ton of chatter around the Kadri rumors as we enter the Centre of the Universe and he is a player that they drafted and developed and would like to have again. Figured there would have been some media noise today?

Blue Jays success is inversely proportional to that of the Leafs

Therefore, Flames and Jays win by identical scores.

Klapka having to sit despite playing well and Coronato having to be on the fourth line does highlight that the team just has too many forwards to properly slot developing young players. Trading Coleman, Kadri and maybe Sharangovich this year is probably for the best as far as the rebuild and opening up spots for young players to succeed.

Flames win in 18 round shootout with Wolf saving every shot

I always go to these when Flames are in town but opted out due to the Jays game. I feel like the Flames never do well here.

The root cause remains Huska's refusal to utilize the 4th line in a different way and it limits this roster.

Huberdeau-Kadri-Frost
Honzek-Backlund-Coleman
Sharangovich-Zary-Coronato
Farabee-Kerins-Klapka

I still think if they would commit to utilizing the 4th line in a way that is more offensive it would fix a lot of the lineup issues.

They have 11 forwards that realistically could play top 9, but they have to shoe horn the roster in a way that doesn't make sense because they refuse to take Lomberg out of the lineup and that limits how we use the 4th line.
