Paris Loses Her Inheritance!
Looks like her grandpa isn't too happy with her recent (and not-so-recent) actions:

I think she will be fine though with all the other stuff she has going on on the side...

I guess now she can be refered to only as 'socialite' as opposed to 'hotel heiress.' It's a sign of the decline in our society that she became famous for 'being famous.'

And yet she created her own cottage industry based around her personality. She dosen't really need that money, she earned an estimated $75 million last year.

I still anticipate the day, when in their darkest hour her and Lohan are forced to release a girl on girl sex tape just to get back in the headlines

75 million. Holy crap. This no talent ######bag is a multi millionaire because people are basically fascinated by watching a ###### act like an idiot in public. Nice society we've got going here.

I agree.. we're so obsessed with celebrity and material things...
I wonder if her popularity will decrease now that she's not a heiress? Will people lose interest when they can't ogle her wealth?
Granted though, she's an "actress", "singer", model, "perfume" creator, porn-star (I totally think she was in on that...it put her name it people's heads) etc... She gets paid big money just to attend things...
Her celebrity status is so well established this likely won't make a dent.
Although I have to admit I really like that 'stars are blind' song... so catchy.

She might be a no talent, but I think we're underestimating what she's done. She's created a cottage industry focused around herself, and used it to generate a massive amount of earnings. I think we buy into the whole ditz face that she's put out there, but I think there's a pretty saavy engine in there.
The day that you or me or anyone else can demand a half million dollars to show up at a club opening, or 75000 to spend 20 minutes waving at people. Or better yet, sign a record deal with no talent that gives you up front coin, I'll take back my words. She's figured out that she's a product that people want to use, or talk about, or pay to see.
Good for her.
And the whole porn tape thing, of course she was all over the release of it, she gets 2 million a year in royalties from that tape.

I wouldn't call her a genious for that. Other examples of this can be found on 3rd Ave.

I don't think that anyone would call her a "genious" however she has been able to turn her name into an industry which generates millions of dollars a year - sure she sells her body in a sense but what she has done is she has been able to parlay that into a career in which she has made hundreds of millions of dollars. There is something behind the stupid pose if you ask me, or at least she has some good managers/handlers.
I don't see what makes her a whore though. It isn't as though she is the first person to make a sex tape - she might be the first person to turn one into a career though.

Is that it? That's how she makes all this money? That's pretty funny. No wonder she drinks so much -- it's her job.

Serves her right. This no-talent ass clown should have been thrown out years ago by her prestigous family for all the negative press she's given them.
And I don't even understand why a socialite has become this famous, at least movie stars are doing something useful with their lives. Paris just gets by on the backs of others, and the gullible, ignorant public is willing to pay for all the crap she peddles out.
She is single-handedly dumbing down society, and if she ever came to Calgary, I'd organize an angry mob with pitchforks and torches to force her back on the plane. Lord knows we don't need more barbie doll women in this city!!

Granted, but people were also idiots for buying rocks with eyes glued to them, but look at how that turned out.
There's a demand for what she's doing, and she's seen that need and made the most of it.
From a business perspective, I respect that a great deal. I don't respect her personal choices, but I don't think they make her any less worthy of her status as a human being.
Personally I think when people call her a whore, or a slut, it comes from a streak of jealousy that she's found the path of least resistance to millions of dollars.
Something we all wish we could do.
For want of a nail,

Bingo
I also think, and I'm on vacation so I'm having weird thoughts.
That she actually lives a pretty lonely life.
I mean does a person like that actually have friends, or does she have hanger ons that use her to catapult thier careers?

You don't get it, she dosen't need the inheritance at all. She's self made rich, something that everyone should aspire to.
The gullible public pay for what she peddles out, good for her for figuring out what they're willing to pay for. Right at the moment she's done something that 50% of the major corporations in the world haven't figured out. So where's that put her.
And half of the angry pitchfork and torch carrying mob that you gathered would be posing for poloroids with her 10 seconds after they met her.

Cap, I'm well aware that Paris is a marketing genius and has a grasp of business matters because of what she sells to the public. She makes her money in other areas, so yes, I agree, she doesn't need the money.
But does easily making over $60 million mean more than getting shunned by your very grandfather who helped build the Hilton name? If that was my grandfather who said that, I wouldn't be taking that public disapproval lightly...That's a dishonour from a man who has far more earned respect in this world than Paris could ever hope for.

And I guess the question for me is what kind of Grandfather publically slags his grand daughter and basically disowns her. Yes drunk driving is terrible, but baically booting someone out of your family because she's disgraced your name is not exactly cool.
Hell I should have been dis-inheritated a few dozen times based on his standards.
