I hate hit and runs. Forcing the batter to swing at whatever comes is dumb. Just run independently.

Oh hey look at that bringing in their best guy for the top of the order. What a novel idea.

If I'm Atkins, I fine the next pitcher that throws a strike to Ohtani.

Really missing Springer here.
Although the special thing about this team is every single player has left their mark at some point. Maybe it's France's time.

I’m puzzled. He’s not completely slow and if they aren’t stealing it’s such an odd move to pull him the rest of the game without firepower in the lineup. We’ll see if the gamble pays off. But it seems like a limited upside move when you’re not moving straw.

Banking on the range in the OF he has but obviously now for the pinch runner. And they hope to win the game before Barger spot gets back up to bat.
This game really does seem to dictate the rest of the series. Jays scratch and claw to get the starter out and get ahead twice and both times tied back up after very dubious manager decisions. Like we’ve seen before.

It isn't Schneider that's throwing meatballs

Don't forget we have Schneider and Heineman on the bench.

It feels like a we’re gonna win it in the eighth or we’re not gonna win it at all kind of move

I could understand a lot more if Barger was slow. But he's not. Straw is faster but Barger has the better bat. Not a fan, but I guess we'll see.
