Conroy needs to trade Andersson asap, speed up mission for McKenna
Let's load up on draft picks, get two in the top 6, this year has unbelievable centers available...time to capitalize
They are literally going as fast as possible for McKenna right now with Andersson. They have lost every single game except the first one. Trade him when they have a decent offer. They don't need him gone to tank.

I swear, some people seem to think you get extra lottery balls for every game you lose. Last place is last place, and you can't get no laster than that.

You double your odds if you finish last compared to 2nd last. Every loss matters!

Finishing last with 20 points doesn't give you any better odds than finishing last with 65 points. Beyond a certain point, no loss matters. It just shows that your entire team is trash and you'll need a decade to build it back up again.

Actually listening to Loubardias at the time, he kept mentioning how high the Flames were on both Sillinger and Coronato. As luck would have it, Sillinger went 12th, and we ended up with Coronato at 13th.
I still think Sillinger has a lot of potential, and he's only 22. He's also another player that could benefit from playing C full-time. And he won't cost an arm and a leg because he has yet to live up to the expectations.
Pretty good chance that had Cole been there at 13 the Flames were taking him.

Our entire team is trash right now, minus Wolf and Parekh and a few others.
You have to just embrace the tank. We are minimum 4 years away from turning this around, in the very best case scenario. This will not be an easy fix. We are trash from top to bottom, except for in net.
Hopefully some of the prospects can fill in some of the massive holes over the next few years. But for now, everyone should be cheering to lose, lose, lose.
Under the assumption trans are calling asking about Kadri, Andersson and Coleman, what trans are a likely to be after each player and realistically have a chance to trade for him?
Coleman: Dallas is the obvious choice - could use him as a replacement for Marchmant. I think a 2nd round pick would be fair. Maybe a first if he has a good season.
Andersson: Vegas no doubt wants him and could really use him but don’t think they have much for assets. Has to be a at least a first round pick coming back you would think.
Kadri: I think it would be a long list of teams that want him. Montreal, Carolina, New Jersey, Winnipeg, Vancouver, Colorado and LA I think would all be interested. A first round pick + good prospect is the price set by the Nelson trade last year.

Andersson to Vegas is insanity. Not only are you getting trash back because their cupboards are bare but you are also hurting the value of the 1st round pick that the Flames already have from them. There is a long list of teams who need a RHS top 4 D and all of them have better assets to trade and do not have self-sabotage built in to the transaction.
Kadri is tricky. His NTC still likely eliminates the majority of trade destinations and we would all likely need to wait and see if he asks to go because the brutal start of the season (which was expected by most people who looked at the schedule) turns into a longer problem even after the schedule eases up.
Not likely, but you could get perhaps a C Filip Eriksson (14 points in 14 SHL games at 20 years old), RW Alexander Zharovsky (8 points in 10 KHL games), C Owen Beck, or D Adam Engstrom...
I can't see them giving up a prospect as good as Hage for a mid-thirties player.

Why would CBJ be disappointed in Sillinger? He’s 1st in his draft class in NHL games played and 8th in points. He’s physical and plays a responsible two-way game. While he’s probably not going to be a 2nd line C, he has settled in well as a middle-six winger who can slide back to #3C next season after Coyle’s contract is over.
I don’t see why CBJ would give up on him (no rumours that they’re unhappy with Sillinger or shopping him), and I can’t see what the Flames could offer that would make an attractive trade scenario. A late 1st or B prospect is of much less use to CBJ than Sillinger.

Suspect they start winning a few more games in the next 10 and you will be happier as they won’t look quite so bad.

I’d tend to agree as well, MTL picked Hage for multiple reasons and were extremely high on him being an impact player for them. Add in the feel good story about his father and the MTL connection, I’d argue there’s almost 0 chance.
Don’t think they would dangle him with the amount of other prospects they have, which as Sandman outlined are pretty darn good, though I personally am not a big fan of Beck.

He’s 19 years old (birthday is in April), and he is currently in his second year in the NCAA. Incredibly, he has 14 points in just 8 games with Michigan, after putting up 34 points in 33 games in his freshman season. Yowza!
Even with the talent he has around him, that’s impressive.

The Habs would want Kadri to be the bridge to Hage. If they get him he would be the 2C now but when his deal expires he might be the 3C with Hage on his ELC being the number 2 so all very affordable for the Habs.
I think they make a ton of sense for a Kadri trade if they want to send other picks and prospects our way
