Weegar has never been particularly good defensively. In Florida he was a high risk / high reward player that was prone to some brutal mistakes.

He was pretty bad defensively his first year here, much better last year despite leading the league in giveaways, and he's been bad at both ends so far this season (though obviously everybody looks bad offensively).

You ask these questions pretending that you actually are interested in what others say.
It's an interesting form of theatre.

Here it is: "Posters - say something interesting about the game in front of you that you haven't said 3 times before. It should be easy because each play is new. What isn't new is your general dislike (or like) of the coach, a player, or the team in general".

Probably a few reasons:
1. Conroy believes in him as his coach.
2. It's generally believed that a lame duck head coach is the worst kind of head coach.
3. What better coaches would be interested in coming to a team with little talent, not in position to contend, and have a established pattern of firing coaches every 2-3 years. Not really a compelling landing spot.

I don't agree, Weegar has been carrying a #5/6D on the 2nd pairing for a year and a half now, while keeping his head above water. This start does remind me of when he just got here, and it took him a couple of months to get comfortable.

As for offense, Weegar made a pretty awesome play faking a shot on the Backlund goal against VGK, but hasn't really created much since.

If it’s that bad, just don’t watch. Bunch of fricken masochists around here.

Interested what the advance stats say but other than the deflection that trickled past the post in the first I’ve seen no high danger chances tonight.
