At this point, folks in TO should take a first class Porter flight to LA, probably be cheaper!

Pretty expensive in LA, too. Cheapest in Toronto is $1600 cdn, cheapest in LA is $1150 cdn similar sections. $528 cdn round trip off kayak.com. Then likely a few hundred for hotel.

Wife and I are going to LA. Bought them last night, cheapest we could find was about $820 or so each.

I'm within driving distance and have been watching the prices...that seems to be about as low as I've seen. A flight from Calgary would actually be quicker and more pleasant than driving through the valley though.

It has to be the same rotation.
Gausman vs Snell and Yesavage at home vs Yamamoto.
Beiber vs Glasnow Game 3.
Scherzer vs Ohtani Game 4?

One thing I haven't seen much mention of is that game 7 was the first time the Jays won a game this post season without scoring at least 5 runs, and it's the only 1-run game they've won. The ability to get a small lead and then lock down the game is something we hadn't seen from them before, hopefully that can give them some confidence if runs become very hard to come by against LA

I was wondering if Springer’s injury and previous AB struggle contributed to the Mariners pitching to him with a base open. Was also thinking Vladdy’s success might have been the contributing factor with them rather facing Springer than potentially Vladdy with the bases loaded.
Will be interesting to see the lineup with Bo back. Makes sense to have him DH but if Springer still has knee issues he probably shouldn’t field either.

Baseball gods?
There have been 4 previous instances where a team who swept the LCS faced a team who won in 7.
The team that went 7 won every World Series

Yeah, I mean the Dodgers are such a stronger team, so I would not be surprised by a sweep at all. But I also feel like baseball more than other sports is so much about rhythm in terms of days off. Especially for pitchers.
Their entire pitching staff us no where near their normal number of days off before pitching. They'll all have been sitting up to a week and half since their last start.

So if Toronto wins, would it be the greatest World Series upset ever?
What other ones come to mind?
1990 Reds sweeping the A's?

It would have to be up there. The Brewers are a better version of the Blue Jays and the Dodgers didn't even break a sweat, sweeping them.

I'm not sure I agree there. Are you basing that on regular season/reg. season record? If so, our record was better than the Dodgers. In the series against Milwaukee, it could have gone the other way if not for the Hoffman implosion in the second game. Hoffman looks like a different player in October so far. Also, the Brewers struggled to get by the Cubs, who IMO are not as good of a team as NY.

my buddy put money on the Reds to sweep, that was a wild night
I think that's a bigger upset- Dodgers might be ridiculous but I feel like the Jays are better than that Reds team- which is probably unfair to them- any WS winner (esp in pre wild card era) had a good year to get there
(not in my lifetime but close enough that I think I understand the mismatch- 69 Mets over Orioles comes to mind- there are old timey ones like 1906 but who knows)

Having to go through the Gauntlet of Judge, Raleigh & Ohtani feels like facing various levels of video game bosses, with Ohtani being the End Boss.

That would be such a wild WS win if we manage to pull it off. I really hope we do.
