How hard is to be able to get a spot for the online renewal?

I get unreasonably angry just reading that. Brain to dark places.

There was also a family that needed passports the next day for a trip to Mexico because they didn't realize their kids needed passports. It was a Friday BTW.

Honestly the people that work there have remarkable patience.

I've (now twice) got a passport same-day... show up to Harry Hays at 8AM and at YYC by late afternoon. I think the service there is phenomenal.

Near impossible. Well, it was about six months ago. They open it up early, which means eastern Canada takes all the spots before you take your morning piss. You could try getting up early enough, but it's just a gamble anyway and may take days, so I gave up on the idea. Maybe it's better now.

The one thing I appreciate about Harry Hays is the wait time they put online is bang on. So I just wait till it’s an acceptable wait time and go then.

What's with dog owners that pick up their dog poop but just leave the poop bags on the ground? I see this nearly every day I walk my dog in my area. I just don't understand the thinking here. They would be better off just not picking up the poop and bagging it if they aren't going to drop the bags in the garbage. I use biodegradable bags but I still put them in green or garbage bin as if you don't intend to do that you may as well not even bag the poop.

The ones who bag then leave it a half block from a trash crack me up most. You did 2/3 of the job man, finish it off. At least when it's bagged I know it's not human so that's nice.

Honestly, you have to be a bit of a filthy person to have a dog. Their oily, nasty fur in your house, on your couch, in your bed, on your clothes, on your skin? Gross. Crapping and pissing in your yard, here, there and everywhere? You're a pig. Their dirty nasty feet running on their own feces and urine and then running around you house? You sick fk.

Picking up a warm steaming pile of sht with a baggie and then flinging the baggie on the ground? Just more of the same of your nastiness.

All of the above is just objective fact free of any bias or judgement. Just basic truths.

I have done this on hikes where it is out and back. When I pass it on the way back I'll pick it up. Makes no sense in a city though, there are garbage cans everywhere!

We once put in a conditional offer on a house that we had viewed after a somewhat heavy snowfall. By the time we went to do the pre-purchase inspection a couple of weeks later, a lot of the snow had melted...revealing what must have been atleast 100 left over (and now melting) dog turds in the backyard. It was totally disgusting, and one of several reasons why we passed on that house.

If a lake monster starts running around my car, house, bed, and leaves lake feces all over parks, lawns, etc. then you'll have a point. My family showers after swimming in the lake because we're not absolute pigs, though. I'll also take 1ppm of fecal contamination versus 1,000,000ppm of feces any day of the week because I understand what dilution is.

I'm a hell of a lot itchier and redder coming out of chemical pools than I am out of the lake.

Also, my daughter works at a pool as a lifeguard and swim instructor. I know about code browns. I know about chemical shocking. I know some really disgusting things about pools. I'm absolutely taking my chances in the lake and I no longer go to pools or public hot tubs. You do you, though, boo.
