I think for a lot of us that’s the best sports moment we’ve had in a really long time
What a ride
Love you all
Second this! What a ride. Positive fans, negative fans, quiet fans on here. We all want the same thing, it just manifests in different ways behind a keyboard. I'll give full ****ing credit to Enfeugo and others that always have a positive, optimistic outlook on any given game/series/season. You look good now, and get that extra feeling of believing all along.
I didn't, but they're always my team and I always wanted this. I'm just so ****in g happy right now.

Man, I remember vaguely in '92 the JC HR and that hype watching it with my extended family, made me a lifelong fan of the game. Now 30 years later to see it potentially again means a lot, especially for young people who jump on the bandwagon and will remember this for their lifetime. Pretty cool to see it come full circle.
Clearly the defining factor in this series was the seriousness of facial hair. Look at Woo's little moustache...he looks like a Jr. High child who hasnt learned to shave yet and then contrast that some the glorious full beards on the Jays.
Playoff facial hair is to be taken seriously and not messed with!!

If you thought this season would have a happy ending, you haven't been paying attention.
Thanks for the awesome birthday present Jays!!! This team is pure magic and it’s been an unreal ride. Going to be pretty awesome to see the World Series back in Canada again. Go jays go!!!
One more thing I'll add is I have really grown fond of that unique baseball tradition of embracing and celebrating each step of a playoff run, including making it in. When I was younger I thought it was lame and the NHL and others sports had it right to be all business unless you win it all. But as I get older and more emotional and more understanding that life is made up of a bunch of small moments of which you never know when they will end forever, I appreciate baseball players more.
They embrace every series win and make sure to soak it in and enjoy the moment and the accomplishment. I've grown less fond of NHL celebrations where there's almost this fake bravado thing to stare with your game face after winning a series and rush off the ice with short answers to media about how it means nothing, there's more to go. Yes, we all know there's more to go, but just let your emotions out and enjoy it.

Yeah, I'm moving more and more with you. The NHL is lame with their fake "Mission 16W" thing forever. Winning is hard, there's no shame in celebrating it. I'm quickly moving toward this view too.

Man, that touched me about as much as any internet sports forum comment could...thank you. This little community has been precious to me down here where there's one other Blue Jay fan in the county. As a positive guy, I'm obviously out of thanks, but I also second Jiri's sentiment. Let's freaking go! I'm gonna try to get down to LA on Monday, maybe even get some BC buddies I had pizza parties with on the 92/93 run to come down. Gotta relish these moments!

I don't know about other fans but this is certainly the pressure off moment for me. The Dodgers are a farce of riches (someone mentioned with luxury tax they are over $500mil in salary this season?).
Every team tries to play it up as David vs Goliath when the other team is superior, but this series truly is that. And I'm okay with that. Pressure is off, just go out there and pitch and swing and see what happens. The season is an insane and historic success with memories that will last decades. Now we just watch and see what happens.

Yup I'm there too.
We all only live once, and you never know when it's going to end.
Need to enjoy all the wins and the little moments along the way. Not just wait to celebrate the big things.
I look at somebody like Gaudreau and hope he actually got to enjoy and celebrate that moment he had against Dallas...becasue he never got the chance to feel something like that again through no fault of his own.

Yeah, it's funny how personalities aren't true on the internet like it is if we all sat around at a bar. I even give you little sarcastic comments at times about how something positive you said is extremely unrealistic, or naively positive, and then in my head I'm like "**** I love that guy, I wish I could follow a team like that".

I take solace in the fact that Gaudreau and Monahan were always different in that regard. They looked like they knew exactly how to celebrate the moments and memories along the way. That series being a great example.
With the Yankees pushing us down the stretch we get home field by one game over the Dodgers.
Will that come into play this WS?
If nothing else it allows the home fans to watch the team come out and play with an even series. If the Dodgers do run over us it would have been less special to be stomped twice in LA and then things are more deflated in Toronto for their first home World Series game since '93.
And who knows, maybe they'll feed off the crowd and LA will be nervous and rusty after so many days off and we put them on their toes and have them doubting how favored they are.

As a Mariners fan, this was a really fun ride this season, obviously sad for the way it ended. I somehow have to think that the baseball Gods did not look kindly on the Mariners fans booing Springer in game 5.
I'm going to lick my wounds tonight and my Jays hat will go on tomorrow. It was a memorable series and not one I'll forget.
Enjoy your victory and beat the Dodgers!!!!
