1- Miro was a throw in, the 1st round pick was the main trade piece coming back.

2- Sharangovich was an obvious signing at the time, he is very streaky and will hopefully get hot soon. Hindsight is 20/20

3- Gridin is very exciting but needs to play a ton of minutes and in all situations on the Wranglers. I’m sure he will be called back up later in the season. No need to rush him.

4- Conroy is doing a great job! When the new arena is ready in a couple of years, the Flames are going to have a young and exciting team. Patience and intellectual honesty is needed by everyone.

5- Flames having a down year and getting another high draft pick is exactly what the team needs.

6- Trading Anderson and Coleman should be on Conroy’s to do list.

I’ve been a Flames fan since ‘86 and I love the direction the franchise is headed Go Flames Go!!!!!

I wouldn't be surprised to see Nick Seasick called up.

So, is this a mutual contract termination so he can sign in the KHL? Or are they sending him on a 'loan'. I can't remember what's entailed to leave the NHL to go to the KHL.

He won’t walk away from the rest of his contract. He may as well wait it out.

Hopefully the Oilers pick him up. They need help on defence and Miromanov is the one to do it

I had posted after the abomination of an effort on the Eichel goal that maybe we wouldn't see Miromanov in the NHL again. I feel like that is quite possible now.

For sure. That's why I was asking about the loan option. The most likely scenario is I read too much in Sec214's gulag reference and he'll simply play out the year in the AHL.

He's a terrible GM. Why did we give this bum five million dollars? He's way off the pace. Nobody is going to pick this guy up on waivers with over two million bucks left to go on his deal. Conroy was dealt a bad hand with the contracts he had on the books when he took over, but there's no excuse for this one.
Probably more to do with the passing of Chris Snow.

As handy as I imagine it is for the coaches having the Wranglers in the same building, it must be awkward for a vet who's sent down to run into the boys in the hallway.

This could have been done ages ago.

I guess they neded more confirmation, at the cost of Ilya Solovyov.

Don't put that idea out there.. They're only one win ahead of us.

Disappointed to lose Solo, but he likely wasn't really going to last here much longer than the year. I would have preferred seeing him play instead of Miromanov or Bean most nights though. Has anybody watched Colorado games to see how he's doing?

I see he's played 4 games, is a -2, with an ATOI of 12:42.

I would rather both Solo and Miro be out of the way of the younger Dmen. Neither was going to be more than bottom pairing ever.
