I don't think people were confident with R.A. Dickey starting game 4 in 2015 in an elimination game in the ALDS and he went 4 2/3 giving up a single run. Probably could have gone 6 that day easily.

No matter what Beiber can’t pitch until Game 7. One less or more less relievers used/seen by the M’s isn’t a bad thing.
M’s have packed it in tonight.

The guy is an ace and he’s thrown less than 90 pitches. Dodgers let their aces go into the 8th and 9th inning and they didn’t have a 10(!) run lead.
Everyone is relived that he did well. He could get another inning and help save an arm and that would be better.

Jeter said on Fox after the early Gausman pull that the opponents get pumped when a dealing starter is out of the game. The less confidence the Ms get the rest of the night that they can get to the Jays pen, the better.
